A Pre-Hijacked MMP

Not around here. Just ask GilaMonster! :p:p

I hate everyone and I do NOT want any hugs.
I need to go maim something…

:goose:

We hate you too!

One of my coworkers who had a baby girl on January 2nd brought her in today. I hadn’t met the baby before. She’s itty! Just under eight pounds now. Smaller than my brother was at birth. And she woke up long enough to give me this really looooooong look, and I don’t know what was going on in that little head of hers but there was a lot! Too cool. And too cute.

Oddly, it turns out that if you want total control over your reservation, you need to call and make it with us yourself, because if you have somebody else do it (fine) and that somebody else calls us back to cancel (fine) not only are we not going to call you to confirm that since we tend to assume you were involved in the cancellation decision, but we don’t even have a way to because the person who made it gave us her phone number! Without authorization my patootie.

Sorry. I didn’t mean too.

I can haz Firday?! Seriously, I kept thinking that today was Thursday! Yeesh!

Hey, how’d you make those hearts, FCM? I like em! I feel a cold coming on; I’m sipping a hot tazo chai tea and I sprayed some chloroseptic on my throat earlier. My head is hurting, though… :frowning:

I can’t think of much tonight, so Rosie’s sig to all. Take care folks, 'cause tomorrow -is- Thursday. LOL

Can you maim my PHB? Kaithnxbai!

It’s gonna snow/sleet/rain Friday and Saturday. In view of the coming Snowpocalypse, i went and bought an extra case of Yuengling, and a 30 pack of TP. Hockey tomorrow.

I have a boss and a couple of division managers that need maiming rigs - I was so mad after yesterday that I have not slept at all

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN

Maim at will rigs. Sometimes it’s just gotta be.

Time to forage and work purtify. Sigh.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

Careful what you wish for… one of the Brothers in my high school had lost his sense of taste and smell as a consequence of a mountaineering accident, when he was doing missionary work in Nicaragua.

His job?

He was the school’s cook, of course!

taxi, I’ve told this story before:

One Friday, on something like week 7 of being in Italy putting out forest fires the size of the ones California gets every Santa Ana season, I shut off the laptop. Stood up. Put my jacket on. Put the laptop in the bag. Grabbed the bag. Said “later, people.” Turned around to go. Realized what was bugging me so badly. Turned back around and said
“you know, I just realized I’m feeling guilty because I’m leaving and it’s ‘only’ 4pm, although I’ve been here since freaking 6 in the ei em, which means I’ve actually already been here 2 more hours than I’m supposed to… but it’s because we’ve been putting in 16 hour days, so I’m feeling lazy by comparison. Do us all a favor and leave before your families disown you, ok?”

And people laughed and said ok and started shutting off laptops.

Only because people are nuts or inefficient doesn’t mean you should put in more hours at work. Is your work done? Is your desk in order? If there is anything you can do to help others, is it done too? Then it’s time to GO!

rigs, if you’re going on a maiming spree, can I give you my list?

Went to the pub last night, I really should know better than to drink cocktails after the pub…late night, early morning…sleepy Fae!

Hugs, yays, boos, smoochies, gropes and both appropriate and inappropriate things all round. Use as desired. I can haz snooze?

Yes, I know what you’re saying, Nava. I wouldn’t really want to lose my sense of taste or smell. It’s just one of those things that I figure would make weight loss easier. How about I lose those senses until I lose about 50 more pounds and then get them back.

People are weird. (Including me.) My dogs are having a lovely and hysterical conversation on facebook with a pup who lives in Australia. It’s cracking me up. (Yeah, I know, too much free time.) :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve got people to add to the maiming list, too. Good thing we have a volunteer.

You mean you don’t read the minds of people making reservations, snowbunny? I’m shocked.

Keep reminding yourself that you’ll be out of there soon, mmmmmmmmmmmm.

Actually slept pretty decently last night. It’s a miracle!

Up and at 'em…

Hugs (even to rigs! :stuck_out_tongue: :D).

GT

I called in sick today - my head is stuffy and puffy (LOL) and my throat is scratchy and hurting. Can we add germs/viruses to the maiming list please? Hehe…

I am caffeinating to a degree and feel a bit better because of that but am getting ready to head back to bed. ::yawn:: I think I just need a good amount of sleep!

Happy Thursday all!

Up, caffeinated, off to work.

 Your dogs have facebook accounts???

As for losing your sense of smell and taste, I’ve partially lost my sense of smell and it hasn’t put a damper on my appetite. :stuck_out_tongue:

I am beginning to think that this unemployed thing might have some merits. At least for the time being I don’t have to suck up to an insane boss. And the list of those who I wish to maim has dropped dramatically.

Oh, and I bought the tickets but didn’t win the lottery. :frowning: So much for the little voice.

Blurf. I have several people who need maiming here in my office, too. “It doesn’t matter if it’s not perfect - just release it!” Arrggghh.

ReboSon came over for dinner last night. We sat up late talking and laughing and drinking a bit. It was fun. He’s a fun kid!

I’m tired, though.

Rosie’s sig to everyone!

Oh ha ha. I think this joke comes up near daily. No, we don’t read minds. And the whole thing was a bit more complicated than I made it sound, but the bottom line was none of us (including me) did absolutely nothing wrong. You have to coordiate with your staff on this stuff. You really do. Anyway they got rebooked, somehow, because we are very busy due to the conference the people in question were coming for.

Can I haz Firday? Because I get paid this week.

You can haz Firday tomorrow.
The laptop is now in its way to Germany. Yesterday as I was drying my hair after trying to dissolve into the bathtub and failing to do so, there was an energetic knock on the door. After getting decent, I discovered that it was my pal from UPS, the same one who had been able to find me last Friday.

The interesting detail is that he was supposed to come tomorrow as yesterday I had 6 hours of class, but hey, given that this time he had the Magic Box and everything, I’m not complaining!
PS: I should have brought my scanner to Uni. There’s a ton of them at the library, but the computers are set up in such a way that everything is remote (can’t save anything locally) and, whether because of this or something else, they’re “slower than the bad guy’s horse.”
