Without warning, Internet Explorer suddenly started to delay between 10 and 20 seconds to open, anytime I call for it. Each time a link calls a new window, this one delays the same.
Yes, I confess guilty to have installed many freeware programs, but even so, the delay started not after installing any particular program. From a moment to another, the strange behavior started.
I have just updated Norton Antivirus. It doesn’t report me any virus. The Task Manager shows many processes, but I don’t dare to end any task, fearing to mess things down.
This strange behavior have ocurred before in the previous encarnation of Windows 2000. And, like an african-bees swarm, it departed as silently as arrived. I never knew what was happened.
Obviously, the questions are…
- How do I repair it (without reinstalling W2K, of course)?
- Where is the best place to search the cause?
- Can you help me??
