Hello! I have a technical question about Internet Explorer,
I will go to a random web page, be able to see the contents of said web site for maybe half a second to a second and a half, then there will be a high beep sound, and internet explorer will quickly shut down without giving me any warning.
What causes this? How can I stop it?
That is a new one. Have you recently installed anything new? What version of Windows and IE? Are you able to use IE after this event?
Is it your computer, does someone not want you to use the computer? This is proabably not the case, but when I didn’t want people to use my computer I had a program that ran VERY quietly in the backround it did things like that. I could set it up so that when a certain program was run it would wait a certain amount of time and then do a certain thing. For example If IE is run wait 5 seconds then close program. Or if Solitare is run wait one minute then shut off computer. Or my personal favorite if Microsoft computer is run wait 10 minuets (cuz I knew they were typing reports) then shut down program. That one really bugged them, just as they were a page or so into typing.
Oh and you should probably run AdAware and Spybot and check for virii. I don’t think that’ll fix the problem but it can’t hurt. You may just need to reinstall IE.
