Brave? How? In Europe, his is the conventional wisdom.
It is certainly not. We may not be as one sided as the US press and population, but it is still difficult to criticise Israel without considerable abuse and accusations of anti-Semitism.

The brig summary is that Gerry Kaufman is a hysterical idiot. But there’s a summary on his wikipedia page…basically, the Israelis are the moral equivalents of Nazis.
Assume not everybody can play a vid with sound and tell us what he said.
It’s still easier than criticizing the Palestinians.
“Unprovoked” ignores several decades of history!
Oh, definitely not.
The Palestinians only have the “I have no State card” whereas the Israelis have the “Holocaust card”.
The Palestinians also have the whole “colonialism” card, which I hear plays big in Europe.
Israel also has the ‘we are just retaliating to idiots tossing rockets at us…again <rinse and repeat for the next time>’ card, which generally plays pretty well to folks who are actually following along on this crazy train.
Would Israel’s image in the international community be enhanced if it decided to simply absorb suicide bombings and rocket attacks for a few months, without retaliating? I ask this as a half sarcastic but also half serious question.
There should really be a named mental illness for the people who can’t tell who the good guys are in this conflict.

Believing there are always good guys is an American affectation.
There rarely are when it’s Israelis v. Palestinians.
Except they ignore the complicated history of the occupation and annexation of Arab lands over three generations.
All things considered, Israel has gone out of its way to terrorise, dominate and punish its Arab neighbours and its responses are rarely in anyway proportionate.
