A question for the moderators - is one allowed to post notices of upcoming performances, showings, recitals, book/CD/movie launches, etc.? I would like to mention upcoming performances (just once per production) and I’m also interested in what is coming up for other members, but I haven’t noticed anyone else doing so. Is it allowed, considered impolite, discouraged or forbidden? Please advise me.

It’s generally cool, I think, as long as you check in with TPTB first: e-mail TubaDiva and give her a heads-up on what you’re planning. There’s a long and distinguished history of supporting members in their artistic endeavours here.
Welcome to the board, by the way.
What Scissorjack said. We’re generally supportive of members’ artistic/musical/etc activities, but we don’t want things to get out of hand. Hence, ask permission first.
You mean I can’t just post my announcements of my nude perfomance art exhibitions? Darn… :smack:
He didn’t just say “We are supportive of members”, y’know.
Warnings? Sure.
I kid, I kid.
