It was a pretty funny post, and not entirely untrue.
Right. Because what libruls hate more than Trump are children with Trump lunchboxes.
You’re a smart conservative, Sam. But you’re not a funny smart conservative. You tried. You failed. It’s just not your thing.
Well for me the post triggered an eye roll. YMMV
I do have to admit, Sam, the admirable brevity of your post was an improvement on Bricker’s old ‘liberal hypocrisy’ gambit. He’d have soaked his post in wounded earnestness and inserted a link to an inapposite situation that occurred in NYC in the mid 80’s so that we could all witness the violence inherent in the system of liberal bias.
So, props.
It is, however, proof that wit needs more than soul.
You’re going to have to try a lot harder to be funnier than Scylla’s childish, snowflake, tantrum, meltdown story morphing into Scylla’s actual childish, snowflake, tantrum, meltdown.
Hurr durr liberal hypocrisy just isn’t gonna get it done.
Looks like Scylla has stuck again.
If he just keeps shopping, pretty soon he can tell every American mom why they are doing it wrong.
You had me worried there. When I saw that this thread had been bumped, I thought maybe Scylla had de-flounced.
False alarm! Whew!
A few months ago I saw a family having breakfast. The baby was bored and squirmy and tried to get out of his high chair a couple of times. Dad would pick him up, the kid would relax a bit, Dad would put him back and resume eating, repeat. I took over a couple of jelly packets - those things are sealed pretty well - and suggested he’d be happy playing with them. It worked, and they thanked me.
It doesn’t take long to be helpful.
My husband has spent more than one plane ride (he travels a lot for business, including internationally) walking a fussy baby up the aisle or playing with a restless toddler, while a grateful parent gets some rest and relief. It’s just not that to not have to be a jerk.
