A self-rescue MMP

There’s probably some Sri Lankan spiders in that mystery room I’m afraid of, if anybody wants to come look.

Hey all y’all, this is just a drive by. Dad called to tell me that mom has been admitted to the hospital again. She had to go in yesterday as an outpatient to have more fluid drawn from her lungs/pleural sac, and in the middle of the night couldn’t breathe so in to the ER they went, and she was admitted. It looks as though there is an air bubble in there. This is just the next stage in her end stage liver disease. And it’s hard.

So, mumper family, your prayers, thoughts, voodoo rituals, whatever they are, would be very much appreciated.

Also, thanks to those who commented wrt my dogs. They were old girls who had lived very good lives. It’s always a heartbreak to do what’s right by our pets when the news is bad. I still have 5, and they are showing little to no sign of slowing down, thank God.

See, this is why I lurk, every time I think the roller coaster has let me off, whoops! NO, here we go again. Life really does have it’s wonderful times too. Love you guys.

{{{kai}}} - hang in there, sweetie!!

Lunch is eaten.
May be going out to dinner tonight. My mood is so dark today it might not be a good idea, then again it may be just what I need.

I hope to go look at 2 houses Saturday.
One I can pay cash for so I’m sure it will need a lot of work.
One that is slightly above what I can afford, but it comes with everything and is move in ready, or so the listing says.

((kai)). Hope things turn out alright.
Yet another downside to being the receptionist - my boss walks by and asks me to do the random things he used to have my supervisor do… Now I have to make up lunch plates for some of the guys that won’t make it to the catered lunch.

Well out to dinner it is.

Red Lobster, not my first choice but it will do.
Invited by the the OAOASO who wants to work things out.

It is said that when a Taurus dates a Scorpio it’s when The Irresistible Force meets The Immovable Object.
Head on.

Makes my cottage cheese, pear, and Mt. Dew look like a reasonable meal.

The massive creaky wheels of enormous **blue **insurance companies move slowly but they are moving.

I had to call them so they could call my surgeon’s billing people so they know I’m covered 100%, which is apparently an odd situation, as the surgeon’s billing office normally collects an $800 deposit. As I’d be getting the entire deposit back, I didn’t want to tie up $800. Job done.

I’ve also received a packet of info from them in the mail, so I guess everything is in order. EEEP!

A fishy question, or maybe a fishie question. Remember the fish in the dentist’s aquarium in Finding Nemo and how they polluted the tank? My betta has done this. Almost overnight, his water turned green. Not just greenish, but GREEN! Hey, where’s the fish? I think I need to get a live plant to consume the nutrients that the algae are very happily eating.

“The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars,
But in ourselves.”

Irk was all right, but tiring. The afternoon was kind of dull. And I was working alone, and got kind of lonely. I wasn’t working in the same office as yesterday. So I don’t know if my coworker fell asleep again today or not. Hee hee.
Today was warm, though a little cooler than yesterday.
So much to do.

Sure! Ifn you’ll come clean up here; there are some dishes in the sink that need a warshin’.

So you’re saying it’s my fault I’m irresistible?

Because I’m sure as hell not the Immovable.:stuck_out_tongue:

Swampy OAOFSO is a picky eater and not very adventurous. He only goes to a hand full of places and always orders the same thing.

I brought almost the whole basket of biscuits home.
If I eat the biscuits I won’t eat my dinner and as it is I brought half of it home.

Got the kid a burger and a butterfinger milkshake on the way home.
**April **sometimes I think they just don’t want to come out.

Of course I always say about boy babies that they take 9 months to get out and the rest of their lives trying to get back in. ;D

All this talk of spiders makes me feel ick!

Have you been watching Bates Motel?

Best $400.00 I ever spent.

Wow.
Impressive.
I might need this guy in Arkansas when I have to replace my Mama’s rent house roof.

Isn’t Moo goo gai pan Chinese baby food?

Very few Bobbyisms have survived 25 years, but this one has. When he was 3, The VunderKind insisted that place was Fred Lobster, and that’s how we refer to it to this day.

Oh, and tonight I had to sit through a show VWife recorded: The History of the Southern Biscuit.

{{{{{{{kai}}}}}}; keeping your family, especially your mother, in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks for the good thoughts from yesterday - it worked, because I got a good phlebotomist. She had no problems finding a vein and did NOT have to use a butterfly needle. That is definitely a plus - they hurt when they have to do it on the back of your hand.

Next week, we’re going to try to get to a Trader Joe’s - it’s time for some more TJ stuff! I’m hoping to find some lamb too, really looking for meat for stew because I know a leg of lamb is going to be too expensive. We’ll see what they have. Today I had a dinner from a company called “Saffron Road” you can find them in the natural food stores, frozen dinners, they are really good. I had chicken tikka masala today and I had a bit of peach yogurt with it. Oh my gosh, the peaches actually were a good combination with the chicken, it made kind of a chutney taste to it. It was really tasty. They are “safe” for me to eat, because they are not so high in sodium; so much prepared foods are very high in sodium which is not good if you have high blood pressure. :frowning:

Hugs to anyone who needs them, and prayers as well. Thank goodness tomorrow is FIRDAY.
