It’s a feature/bug of Twitter especially (not to mention other platforms) that once you show interest in a particular viewpoint, you’re fed other examples and it becomes a self-reinforcing loop.
The path of least resistance is to consume what you’re given without bothering to check source veracity and seek out countervailing views.*
*to learn something, not just troll the other side.
This is so very very true. I watched one right-wing video once on YouTube to debunk it. Just one. And suddenly I was bombarded with their garbage. I learnt my lesson. If you’re going to watch something that isn’t in your normal viewing habits, do so in an incognito window.
I have a sense of things falling apart.
You can also go to your watch history and remove the offending video. Then it’s like you never watched it.

I swear sometimes the YouTube algorithm just goes full schitzo regardless. I’ve been bombarded by MGTOW recommendations I had to weed out by telling YouTube not to recommend the channels a couple of times. If you don’t know what MGTOW means, count your blessings and don’t say I didn’t warn you if you look it up.

Yes, I know. As a fan of aviation in general, I always associated the initialism “MTOW” and its variants like “MGTOW” with aircraft performance. I never really had much interest in misogyny. 
It doesn’t quite apply here, but I just ran across this picture yesterday:

The two of them are very similar in many, many ways. Not that I’m saying one is a sock of the other. Just that Honey Badger also constantly says “I trust the experts”, but when told “The experts say X.” replies with “Yeah, but they’re biased.” In particular with respect to climate change.
If they’re socks then HDBC would have to be Sam when Sam got REALLY stoned. Because Sam actually sounds intelligent every now and then.
At best, one is shockingly uncritical of sources that align with his political beliefs (at worst, outright trolling) while being generally intelligent about non-political topics
The other is shockingly uninformed and quite unintelligent about nearly any topic.
Their similarity exists primarily in their near total disregard for any rational discussion or information that contradicts their worldview.
I will admit that among a crowd who appreciate accurate information and informed discussion, people who don’t fit that mold do seem more alike than they may actually be.
