Sam’s been pitted many times during his tenure here, and (I believe) always for the same behavior. He gets points for consistency, at least.

Now in the thread about Ought public Libraries advance social agendas in IMHO, Sam shows that he has no clue about what Equality and Equality means, compounding that, he has no clue about what DEI trainers talk about Equity and diversity in their trainings.
And of course, seeing someone that has firsthand knowledge about what one is talking about, was enough for Sam to remember how he is being modded about hijacking threads. In this case I don’t see that much as a hijack, just Sam trying to find an excuse to not find how wrong he is…

One of his problems is that he still somehow believes that US conservatives are acting in good faith when they use terms like DEI. What they really mean is n-word – just look at how they somehow blamed the bridge collapse on DEI, oh, and the Maryland governor just happens to be Black, as is the mayor. What are the chances??

Eh, I’ve never noticed him to be outright racist, just in the thrall of American conservatives for some baffling reason. You’d think he’d steer clear of that up in Canada.

A certain element in Canada uses the same bullshit excuse as the y’allgueda lost cause worshippers in America do to proudly display the confederate rag. And, yes, it’s pure racism.
I’ve never been to Alberta but it just makes me think of two folks named Al and Berta sitting on chairs on a porch drinking Molson lagers.

Would like to note that the ATMB thread above didn’t mention that weirdness with his ‘son’, where the SDMB mods gave Sam a pass for the sins of his kid, a pass Sam could never grant Joe Biden.
We’ve only done that where the suspension was a month, and it was just the one time.
The son snafu never came up in this discussion. This is about his inability to not hijack threads more than almost anyone posting of the SDMB. Even in threads where he was already modnoted for such.
Just to be clear, I didn’t send notes to the moderators regarding Sam, I think I haven’t done so in years, so Sam had others making notes about him to the mods.
I’d like to think that even Sam’s harshest critics have the self-control to lay off for a week. Perhaps you don’t share my optimism.
