If you agree with World Eater, then get out of the Pit. Sincerity and behaviour modification don’t become very evident when the majority of your last dozen posts are in the Pit. Start contributing in non-flame/non-half-assed apology threads and we’ll believe you. The longer you stay here, the worse off you are, and the more we associate you with what you’re “apologizing” for. Remove yourself from the situation and we’ll stop associating you with it.

IANAM, but I would recommend to those who want to complain about the complainers to start up their own thread. If you really want to help out Clint, then you should let this thread die as soon as possible. Keeping it at the top of the forum is not helping him out.
I admit, I was sceptical about the sincerity of the OP, but I have to admit, he’s been very cool through out the rest of the thread. Despite taking a lot of personal insults, he hasn’t been returning fire. If the OP weren’t sincere, I think he’d have blown up by now and started flaming back.

My feeling, too. I’ve not got much patiences for Clint, and I can see how my initial response could come off like wishing for the dissolution of a marriage. That’s not really my wish, of course, but Clint’s utter lack of decency up to this point didn’t make me inclined to talk him up to his wife, either, or to pretend that he didn’t come across as an ass.
But it looks like he might be willing to change, to start behaving decently, and I’m all for giving someone a second chance if they sincerely ask for it.
