That’s what’cha get for makin’ fun of the Pack. ![]()
I really hope you don’t bloat, though.
Thank you!
What did we do, after she’s all healed up, though? We got her a mini-chainsaw, for Christmas. My husband and I, are taking bets, on what peripheral she hacks off/into, next. Good grief. I’m just glad she’s healed, and that her employer, Walmart, has given her paid time off. Just over two months, even!
sari I’m so sorry to hear about Lucy! They all leave little pawprints on our hearts, that’s for sure. My condolences to you, and everyone that loved Lucy.
Technically, if you drink one (1) bowlful of water, right now, it should all even itself out … yes?
{ cackles hysterically }
Does it have all the safety things?
She needs something like this saw blade:
SawStop Hot Dog Demo - YouTube https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fq3o0VGUh50
I don’t know. I haven’t checked it out. That saw with the ‘skin stop’ thing is amazing! I’d NOT be the one to test it, though!
My FAVE!!!
Took Higgs to the vet, and naturally, she didn’t cough at all while there. The vet even tried to force it. But he took my word for it and sent me home with meds and cough suppressants for her. He wouldn’t do her shots, tho - so that’ll be another bill after she’s over this cough. Then again, I might just take her to PetCo for their shot clinic if they’ve got one soon. Then I can avoid the $95 office visit charge - yoiks!
While I was there, FCD texted me and asked me to bring some food to the apt as his mother hadn’t eaten much, so I took Higgs home and fed her, grabbed the frozen sack o’soup, and headed to the apartment.
The hospice nurse changed FIL’s status to imminent. When I got there, MIL was sitting next to him, holding his hand. Daughter was there also. I heated up soup and leftover pasta for everyone and we ate. MIL was commenting how FIL’s hands were cold. His breathing is reminiscent of someone with apnea. He doesn’t move, he makes no sounds, his pain meds are now given via a catheter. Tonight may be the night. I hope so - this is so wearing on everyone. The poor man needs his peace.
I’ve given the dog her meds (wrapped in cheese - she didn’t bother chewing) and had an apple. In a little bit, I’ll head back to bed. Tomorrow will be a long day - Daughter has a board meeting at 6, so she probably won’t be done till 7 or so. I’m going to feed the kids here, then take them home to bed. I may need to stop on the way home for a bottle of amaretto…
Godspeed to him, FCM. Godspeed.
Indeed, peaceful and painless.
MOOOOOOM hospice folks are pretty accurate so I am sure the end is near for FIL. His passing will be peaceful and painless. May MIL and the FCFamily find peace as well in the coming days.
In other news it’s Dawgs 38 Frawgs 7 at the half. WOOF! WOOF! WOOF!
Grrrrrrrrr. Mad as hell and I’m not gonna take it anymore. My internet has been out all day. This means no TV. It was due to be restored at 1230 then 530. Came on around 630 for an hour or so then back off. Finally made the call and was walked through resetting the equipment which I would have done had it not been out all day anyway. Got it back and see the score is 38/7. Dang. TCU is getting a beating.
Did get the Christmas tree mostly undecorated. Just need Sonnyboy to take it apart and get the stuff back into the attic. I cleaned the cat box and refilled it. Also the cat room floor. Lots of cleaning to do still.
My friend arrives on Thursday and this time next week we will be adrift probably in the Bermuda Triangle. The formal dress that has been hanging in my closet for years won’t work. I finally took the tags off and tried it on. It is about 10 inches too long. Even if I wore the highest heels it would still drag the ground. I do have a dressy pantsuit that will suffice. I am being cheap and am making do with what I have. I’m not gonna go buy something I’ll never wear again.
Since I didn’t have internet I haven’t read all yet but will.
I survived the gym, but barely. First, apparently there was some super-secret memo that people should hold off on their short-lived get-fit resolutions until today. Last week the gym wasn’t busy. Today it was packed. Every weight machine was in use. Finally one opened up, but as I approached, a guy said he was alternating that one and the one next to it, so would I mind? I said no problem (I lied.) and made do with free weights. I tried to use treadmills that had an empty one on either side, but people kept filling them up. I’m Covid-phobic, especially since my vaxxed brother got it. I’m tempted to wear a sign: “Exposed to Covid and breathing HARD,” but that’d probably just mean creepier people next to me.
FCM, I hope FIL glides easily into the Great Beyond. If it’s any comfort, hospice told us that the apnea-sounding breathing was not at all uncomfortable for Mom.
Do you have any place nearby that does alterations? Or maybe it’s not worth it if you’re happy with the pantsuit.
shoe, kudos on making that lady’s day. You’re a blessing to SO many people.
Of course not. Me to the pediatrician: I swear to God that rash was over his whole body until 10 minutes ago!
And the Frawgs croaked.

Okay, that’s better.
Someone had to do it!
nellie I will for sure search out someone to alter it just not before next Moanday. I love the dress. Can’t imagine why it’s so f’ing long. I’d need to be 6ft 6 inches before it would fit right.
Shoe. Hahahaha. Bad shoe.
And I turned it off at 59 to 7. Just embarrassing to watch.
Sari sorry about Lucy and dad.
sari Sorry about Lucy.
shoe Loved the half dollar story.
FCM {{}} to you all and I hope this all goes as well as could be hoped for.
With any luck I’ll be back at work tomorrow, but we shall see. Damn plague.
OK, I’m done for the night. Dawgs 65 Frawgs 7. WOOF! WOOF! WOOF!

Overheard on one of those morning radio DJs:
“So how crowded is your gym right now?!? And … yeah, how quiet will it be in three months?”
