A strangely early MMP

Ooooh, looky, I have special powers!!! Yay!!! Although it appears that the powers don’t include accurate typing (awaked?).

Hi Pie!

And beebs? :stuck_out_tongue:

Off to try to fall asleep again…

GT

Happy FIRDAY!!!

That is all - caffeinated and off to work!

Ok, I’m at work now. And I’m obviously being very productive.

Did somebody call for a dancin’ bear?

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienated here. In just a bit Ima go mow the front yard cause it’s almost daylight enough to do it. I did mow the back at eight last night. It was still hawt, but the sun had gone down so there was that. Right now it’s a balmy 78 degrees Amurrkin which is as cool as it’s gonna be today so it’s mow now or never. Then Ima clean up and get busy with work stuff, since I’m workin’ from da cave today. If I’m a good bear, I’ll be through by early afternoon.

BBBobbio I remember the story of Cheyenne. She’s a cutie ain’t she! Good on y’all for bringin’ her some summer clothes.

Ok, off I go to mow down the jungle that is the front yard.

Bye!

shhhhhh…

It’s morning now.
snrf.

:watches swampy dancing:
It’s early. And it’s supposed to be very hot and humid today. I think I’ll hide indoors, drinking lemonade and whining about summer. I hate summer. Have I mentioned my hatred of summer? Well, I hate it.

So, how do you feel about summer, LiLi? It’s not completely clear to me.

::taps foot to the music swampy is dancing to:: I had no idea there was such a thing as a one-person polka!

Hmmmm…feeling the after-effects of the graduation party, Soapy?

Guess I should get up and get going.

Happy Firday, all!

GT

If the 16th is still open GT, I’ll take it.

I like summer. It can be hot, but summer is prime grillin’ time. And gardening!

Considering I loath Obama AND McCain so much that I’m going for Bob Barr on the Libertarian ticket…

I finally got to use that big medical bag I carry in the trunk of the FooMobile. I had to make a stop on the way home yesterday, and as I was getting back onto the big highway, there was a chain reaction wreck involving 3 vehicles. Being the good lil’ EMT I am, I had to stop to check on everyone. The guys in the last 2 were fine, and actually helping each other pull sheet metal out of wheel wells so they could move to the shoulder. The old guy up front was ahurtin’, though.

He’d had several back surgeries, and had pain right where his skull joined his spine. I put a cervical collar on him, and started taking the requisite notes when Suffolk Fire and Rescue showed up. It was nice to be appreciated (** N. O. S. A.**) for helping out.

The heat wave continues. Projected high in Mayberry tomorrow is 100[sup]o[/sup] Amurrkan. I don’t plan on doing a hell of a lot.

Ooh I almost fergot. Three years ago today, I had my sveltification surgery. Alas, the battle of the bulge continues.

I also hate summer. I hate heat and humidity and mosquitos and ants.
Off to work soon. #1 son and Daughter off to scuba. #2 son still asleep. TH in the shower. Just so you all know–feel better? I knew you would.

FIRST on whatever page this is now! woot!

The front yard is all mowed (mown?) and I am all clean. I’s also tahred! It was 78 Amurrkin when I started and right now it’s 84 Amurrkin outside, which I’m guessin’ was probably the temp when I finished. Look, I’m a summer baby so I love me some summer, but I don’t love me some August temps in June. June is supposed to be upper 80’s to low 90’s. Humid yeah. It’s always humid here but when heat indicies are reachin’ upwards to 115 or so Amurrkin already that’s just too much!

Ok, Ima go get busy with work stuff now.

swampy, so it was you wakin’ me up by mowing at sunrise!

Ugh, today is Firday, which is really my monday because next Thursday is my next day off. But I get a 4-day weekend, because I requested it off weeks ago to go to a bear party in Little Rock. Yay for social interaction!

Ugh, this rain is depressing. I went to bed at 9:30 last night and all I want to do tonight is go to bed again. I should make myself go see a friend, though, just so I don’t get all depressed for the weekend.

Today’s weather forcast is rain/thunder with rain/thunder continuing until Tuesday. This happened last summer too, and it sucked.

Let’s have more sun!

UGH. This crap is going to continue until Tuesday? Geez. I’m a gonna sleep all weekend. The last two couple of days, I’ve been curling up and reading a book. Of course, I slipped on a wet man-hole cover in the middle of the sidewalk the other day and twisted my knee or something. It hurts still. Oww. I second the request for more sun.

Rigs that’s too funny a story. I can totally see that. And to make the town more interesting, if you continue down that same road a few blocks, you’re in yet a third town, Kankakee. Now I’m getting homesick–a bit. Oh well, I’ll be there in a few weeks. (I think. I hope.)

VBob, that is the cutest story. I’m glad that Cheyenne took her time being born.

Me too. Sometimes I think I’m the only one who hates summer. Give me a crisp fall day any time!

gt- I don’t know what you’re talking about  (removes lamp shade from head)

Hear, hear!

Wind blowing through the autumn trees, the faint smell of winter off in the air, yet still warm enough to get by with a light sweatshirt. Fall is my favorite.
Plus, Halloween is the best ever. Now that I have a front porch all of my own, I plan on carving pumpkins and putting LED lights in them and making my house all scary.

Is it October yet?

You know it’s been a good night if you wake up with a lampshade over your head the next morning. :stuck_out_tongue:

Goot go to the vet. See ya.

I knew I liked you Ely (although I still like Undies for your nick).

Fall is even better than spring, because spring means that Summer is coming.

Except my bday is in the summer. I like that.

whazzamatter, you don’t *like * being appreciated *that * way?

eta - another fan of Autumn over here.
