Since everyone else is driving by, I’ll honk my horn as I pass by also.
Have a great week everyone!

Thyanks for the kind words everyone. I have been contemplating the direction and ownership of my life lately and this what gurgled out!
What a great idea! I’ll do this as soon as I get home. Hopefully he won’t have ripped them all open by then. Maybe I’ll go home at lunch.
Guess what I did yesterday???
I was out and working/playing all day. Serious raking the yard, mulching, and such.
And no pain whatsoever!!! I’m supposed to see the Knee Nazi today, and she’s going to yell at me, but phhhtttbbbbb to her.
Also the screen cracked on my Blackberry, so I have to go replace that today.
:: watches money flutter away ::
Very purty wordifying Soaps.
Back to work. THREE MORE DAYS OF SCHOOL!!!
Good Mornin’ all.
I woke up this morning with an abundance of energy, but don’t worry, it’s gone now. I’m back to my normal self. Anyway, I was up before 6am and couldn’t fall back asleep. That almost never happens to me. So, I read for awhile. Then energetic me decided to wear a skirt today, which necessitated both ironing said skirt (and spilling water from the iron all over it) and shaving my legs. By the time both were accompolished, I was running late to work. Ugh Monday.
I made chocolate cupcakes with chocolate buttercream frostong this weekend; they are the yum. I cheated though, I used a boxed cake mix. I have no shame. Frosting from scratch though.
I talked to my mom yesterday. Cinnamon, my beloved Golden Retriever, is not doing well and will most assuredly need to be put down over the summer. She’s 12 and having a harder and harder time with things. I hope I get to see her one last time when I’m there at the end of June. I’m tearing up thinking about this. (no crying at work, no crying at work, trying not to cry at work)
(happy thoughts, happy thoughts) I’m planning on ordering a new laptop this week. I’m going Mac, and I’m pretty psyched about it.
Get better all you sickies.
Yeah, we brought Casey home on a Friday afternoon and it was in the evening when she started tearing at her incision, so we called the emergency vet. Who was a total sweetheart and suggested that, rather than having us come in and pay big bucks to put a Cone of Shame on. I’ve actually got a dog t-shirt now if I ever need one again, but a smaller-sized human one works nearly as well. I really need a scanner so I could show you the photo of Casey the silly golden retriever standing there looking SO beautiful in her t-shirt.
:: gets drunk and crashes into everyone else’s boats ::
I really needed that.
'Lo all. Add me to the “Don Juanna” club. I was iffy before I got to work and our snot-nosed IT dickhead pissed me off. I will pay serious money to whoever will trout-smack him and take pitchers.
Poor Blaze. Another Frankendoggie.
Damn! I just found out my favorite team leader is resigning. Some of you may remember that my favorite department head just retired. BAH!
Tupug
OK, so it seems like I kinda sorta have myself a job offer.
Basically, the team lead I just met with has previously worked with me and thinks I’ve got the right stuff to join her team, but there’s something hinky going on with the official hiring process. I’m very interested in the position she’s eyeballing for me, and her style and mine are a good match (we’re both stubborn loudmouths when we know we’re in the right).
If anyone can plow through this stupid red tape, it’s her. Huzzah!
Good call on the t-shirts, Mama Tigs. Definitely better than the Cone of Shame (though finding shirts sized for wee 4lb kittehs is a bit of a challenge).
Hmmm, I was wondering WTH to do with all this, guess I know now!
unpacks large cartload of kleenex, chicken soup, ginger ale, Trader Joe’s zinc tablets and chocolate, starts tossing entire mess into the MMP
Get bettah, all you guys! And don’t sneeze this way, kthx!
Nice “OP,” soapster!
Sure hope that t-shirt idea works, DoRe, tell Blaze this is the last stop before you go all Elizabethan on his ass!
Haze, you is so silly! Don’t ever change…
Awww, sorry about your doggeh, mousie, hugs…
Fingers crossed for Mahna[sup]2[/sup]!
VBob–
Welcome, no longer lurking ifway!
I gotta go look for a printer today, yay. Also going to go watch Grandboy perform with his theater troupe at the Rose Festival, which is funny–I’ve lived in Portland over twelve years and I’ve never once participated in the RF even though it’s a big deal 'round these parts… Yeah, well, grandma stuff will make you do things you never expected to do I guess!
Feel bettah, everybody!
I’ve found that to be redundant.
{{mousie}}
Get better, everybody!
Great way to look at it life, Soapy.
I made the Pioneer Woman’s cinnamon rolls yesterday. They were INCREDIBLE. Fortunately, I took most of them (still warm!) to a bake sale at church so I didn’t eat myself into the giant blob that I could have.
Tee hee!
Seriously, if life is a river and we are all on our own boats, I am the one getting drunk on margheritas and stripping on the deck. Mwahahha.
taxi, those cinnamon rolls are dangerous. I halved the recipe last time I made 'em and they still produced enough to end world starvation.
Hugs for mousie, good luck for Muppet!
Yeah, that’s why most of them went to a bake sale. I don’t have enough self control to have them around and not eat them!
I am back from errands. Errands are sent from Satan to torment all people. Errands in the heat and watching the $100 you just took out of the bank disappear is Satan playing with his victim.
I am going to start a thread about something I found in my purse. I have no idea what it means.
Like the purty boaty thingie, 99and[sup]44/100ths[/sup].
Don’t toy with me.
I guess that makes me the one with the blender . . . (insert evil grin here)
Liked the river analogy, **Ivory **-- it’s apt.
A river with strippers is even better, of course
Thus concludes YADB (Yet Another Drive By) – (hopefully) later, gators!
If life is a boat then I’m the iceberg loomin’ straight ahead in the dark.
Afternoon Y’all! Just sneakin’ in a post cause I came home for a bit to eat a sammich and relaxate. Gotta get back though.
Later!
P.S. Welcome all you newbies!
Soapy, your OP reminded me of a song. Here’s the link which is an mp3, so it might not be safe for work if you aren’t allowed to play music. http:// Pat Humphries
Anyways, as you can see it’s called ‘Swimming to the Other Side’ and is by a folk artist named Pat Humphries. I’ve met her in the past as she is a friend of my best friends’ sister (also a folk musician) and she is, both in her music and beliefs a fairly intense person. I’m rambling. But, alas, it’s a good song and there was even an NPR piece on it a couple of years ago. [/rambling]
