I ended up taking off from work early. I have some travel comp time to burn, so I did. I got to thinking about it, and I want to be hear when the repair guy shows up to repair my daughter’s car window. Besides, I had a real :smack: moment this morning. My car tabs expired last month, so I had get them today.
The sun is shining. It’s too bad I feel obligated to stick around for the repair guy.
I’m glad the test turned out negative Soapy.
Hi right back atcha, kai! Glad to see you popped in.
I told y’all that my head is stupid! bear the salmon fishermen are gearing up. Ya want me to tell you about all the hawt men around town right now…OMG!!!
Heya Lunch! How’ve ya been?
¡Gracias por todos Navaita!
taxi your photos last week made me so homesick, Seattle is my hometown you know. Yay on pronouncing Puyallup, how are you with Sequim?
BBBobbio!!! It’s a bit early in the day for me to drag you off to room 304, isn’t it? (check your email)
I hear the call of the shower, now that my head is clearing up a bit, thank you Mountain Dew. Back in a bit.
swampy, just a flashback to the last MMP and the tales of the visiting priest - it reminded me of a chaplain I knew in the Navy. He loved hymns and would tell the congregation “If you have a good voice, praise God with it. If your voice isn’t so good, get even with Him!” A true believe in a joyful noise!
Home, and very productive today. It was a gorgeous day - how horrid I had to spend most of it indoors. I mowed front, back, and side within about an hour. Then I watered my flower boxes, fed the critters, and popped a chickie in the rotiss. We just finished dinner - the aforementioned chickie, plus N.O.T-tots and sugar snap peas. Yum. I’m about to load the dishwasher.
Daughter’s bestest friend from FL and her husband are coming up here over Father’s Day weekend. Weather permitting, we’ll be sailing.
FCD’s back is improving - the steroids are really helping, but he refuses to do the PT. I’m not going to argue - I can’t win anyway…
HUG!
A luxury car commercial (Mitsubishi or BMW) starts with “A wise man once said ‘Opportunities are like sunrises. If you wait too long, you’ll miss it’.” to which I always yell at the car radio “and if you wait long enough, there’ll be another one in a little less than 24 hours”
Some other randomness was circling 'round my brain on the drive home, but it must have wandered off. If it comes back, I’ll let you know
Thanks for the huggins everyone. It means a lot to see that there are a bunch of people out there who really do care. I will find something that will be perfect for me. I wish I hadn’t had quite as much fun in Vegas now, but oh well. I’m putting some junk on Craigslist now and over the next few days. I have a beater car that my cousin is driving that I can sell. I have a little bit (very little bit) of stock that I can sell if I have to. I was starting a retirement egg with that, but if I have to use it now I guess I’ll have to.
I stopped by the old store earlier today to drop of my key and they were suprised at how happy I seemed. I don’t know if it was happiness so much as relief. I was withering and dying having to sit in my office all day long doing nothing but surfing the internet and wondering what I was going to have for lunch. It wouldn’t have been so bad if I knew I was going to get compensated for that time, but I didn’t. I pretty much wasted a huge part of my life during the last year. Now if I waste it, it will be on my own terms.
Dedgum. I do believe I’ve fallen behind on some of the rituals here. Thank you kindly, peoples. Right neighborly of you.
Nevertheless, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that it’s rather heartening to see dogs and broccoli in the same sentence. Obviously, all is right in the world.
Woo hoo! GT is back - and I’m so lookin’ forward to next Monday now for the tale of the post! Hope you really enjoyed yourself!
One down, four to go …
Serious good healing thoughts being sent FCD’s way, as well as good job thoughts. And some extra hugs and good job thoughts toward HockeyMonkey too! A belated Happy Birthday to lieu.
I know there’s stuff I’m forgetting, so Rosie’s .sig all around. Dang it, has Rigs left yet?!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN So beginneth my work week.
MOOOOOOM it ain’t a joyful noise if’n it makes ya want to curl up in a ball beneath a pew and moan “please stop! please stop!” That is how bad this particular Priest’s singin’ is.
