flytrap the slime line is where the fish are gutted, and the egg plant is a separate building where the salmon roe is salted and packed in cute wooden boxes for the Japanese market.
Aw, newfies are one of my favorite breeds. They just don’t understand how big they are/will become.
I empathize with you Apes, I have four kidlets and I remember that total lack of oomph. Of course now, with my disability, I get to relive that lack of energy, w00t.
The kids still at home came back with four large pumpkins and plans to get a few more tomorrow. I am currently browsing Jack O’ Lantern patterns for inspiration.
Well, because I can’t caffeinate because of little succubus I almost fell asleep at the wheel while traveling for irk today. It is a 2 hour drive to Jonesboro from here and another hour drive to Pocahontas, plus the trip back. I literally had to scream in the car to keep myself awake.
I am home from the Halloween party. I had a blast but I had to take off my headdress after about an hour and a half because it was giving me a major headache. I would have guessed that it weighed at least a couple pounds but it felt like 5 billion. So, I took it home and weighed it.
11 ounces
Guess I’m a wimp.
Oh well. This wimp is going to bed soon. I have a small lunch in the morning.
I really don’t want to wash the dishes, but they’re taking over the kitchen again and I’m out of glasses except for juice glasses. I need a dishwasher. I’m thinking a cute guy, tall and thin, dark hair…
Man, if cute guys only knew how much they could make doing housework!
So, how’s everyone’s gas prices this week? Ours rose so high, and then dropped so suddenly yesterday that today, during a 10-mile drive, I saw prices for 3.99 and 4.89 <cheapest grade on both> up at the same time! Different stations, of course.
And, of course, I filled the tank YESTERDAY when it was 4.25 'cause that’s the lowest it had been in quite a while. :smack:
Well, I’m sure glad that 5 foot ladder came with the house. So far I’ve used it to:
-Break into the back house when the water line in the main house clogged, our first day here.
-Get cat out of tree; get other cat out of othertree next to it; BigCat was trying to get to LittleOrangeCat in the much taller tree /facepalm
-And, just now, get the big cat off the roof of the back house. He’d been on walkabout for about 7 hours, missing lunchtime and everything. Darkness fell, and as I was out smoking I looked up and noticed an eerily familiar outline along the roofline, lol.
If the ladder had been ANY shorter, even a couple inches, I could not have gotten up there.
And what did BigCat do when I got up there, feet on top of ladder and holding onto shingles with my hands, peering over the edge? He came over and spent five minutes rolling around on the roof and meowing at me as I tried desperately not to fall off, attempting to grab him, lol. :smack:
He finally realized that maybe I could help him down, and we managed to get down without mishap.
Dang cats.
That sounds yummers. I take a prenatal which has extra B12 and I got my blood work done less than a month ago to check on my B12 levels which are better than average, so I really just think it is hormones and the need to sleep from increased metabolic needs.
I am at irk but not irking - our main student records system is busted so we are having to wait until IT fix it, but they have no idea how long that will take. In the meantime I am messing about on the 'net, answering emails and arranging a visit to my doting parent.
I remember Eva Longoria on Desperate Housewives, wasn’t she the orange one? Oh, hang on, they’re all varying shades of orange apart from the pale pasty redhead…
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 58 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 88 for the day. We seem to be on a warmin’ trend. I do not want to turn the a/c back on, so cut it out weather!
Gas prices around heah are anywhere from 3.34 to 3.45 per gallon. Go figure. Could be a little lower durin’ the day. Or a little higher. Who knows. I usually fill up at Sam’s Club which averages three to seven cents lower than anywhere else usually. They’re the ones reportin’ 3.34 right now.
I forgot my excitin’ news. My trash got picked up yestiddy.
Ok, I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. Le Sigh.
For the record, our dalmatian never calmed down, at least not while we had her. Who knows what happened after she ran off… (stoopit dog.)
Tell me, why is Greek yogurt so fashionable all of a sudden? It tastes to me exactly like the yogurt I used to make when I was in college, back when I still had my yogurt maker. I like that it’s firmer and tarter than the sugary, over-flavored pseudo-yogurts on the shelves today. And considering what it costs, I’m thinking I may get myself another yogurt maker - is Salton still in business?
Busy day today, as soon as I’m done yogurting. I’ve got to gather all the schematics for a particular program and burn them on to a CD. Not hard, but tedious, and I won’t get it done if you people keep distracting me, so cut it out!!!
She was the tiny one we were supposed to believe had been a catwalk model (not at that height), with the hunky husband, teenager gardener loverboy and hot temper.
I walked (by choice) to irk this morning. It gave me the chance to notice the Shell station near my orifice had regular gas for $3.459 today, down a dime since Sunday
Well, so much for that big-ass project **FCD **wanted me to dedicate myself to today. It took less than an hour, and it would have been even quicker if I hadn’t had to blank out a couple of things on half a dozen drawings (keeping it proprietary, you know.) The way he was talking yesterday, it was a massive undertaking. Guess I showed him!
So now I’ve got one drawing in my queue and an email out to my PA coworker who had a lot for me to do as soon as she gets the paperwork in order. I told her if she doesn’t send me a list soon, I may be reduced to dusting my desk…
I love my job!
PS - **BBBobbio **- are you talking about the Shell at Pegg Rd? I turn there on my way to work!
