Things are ratcheting up again for my bizniz trip to Sandy Yeggo. Given that it’s slipped every week for the last month, I shouldn’t hold my breath.
Home from lunch delivery and lunch with my mom. Now to assemble my costume. If I weren’t so very tired I’d be much more into this.

Howdy from da cave. Doin’ some irk from home instead of the orifice. Yay for bein’ able to do that! Beastloaf is also bakin’ away and mac ‘n cheese is already to go into the oven to finish up cookin’. I got fancy with it a little bit and made a for real cheese sauce startn’ with a roux of flour and butter, then addin’ in shredded fontina and extra sharp cheddar cheeses and half and half. Poured that over the macaroni which I cooked al dente. More shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese, grated parmesan and bread crumbs will go on top just before bakin’. Fancied up mac 'n cheese! Cabbage is also alerady to be steamed which will not take long. I believe I shall also make some cornbread muffins.

Oh, I came home to a voice mail from “actress Eva Longoria” - whoever she is. I heard enough to know it was about the casino question on our ballots, and I immediately deleted it. So, who the heck is this actress? I’ve heard the name, but I can’t place a face or a role with it.
I was in such a good mood earlier. Stoopit people messed that up.
She was on Desperate Housewives, FCM. She was the actress with the olive toned skin and dark hair that was a former model.
Work is just killing me. I should have stayed late today, but ended up having to leave early because I had to pick up my husband from the car repair place. His car is sitting down there now and when it’s done I’ll have to drive him down there to pick it up. Otherwise, I would have driven back to work.
I never watched Desperate Housewives, so I guess that’s why I never heard of her.

My garbage does indeed get picked up, for which I am thankful. Although if is wasn’t I have no problems addressing it. I agree with your approach to the minions; a pleasant tone of voice coupled with a determination to not let the issue go until it is solved generally gets the job done better than flipping out.
I remember Hai Karate, those were some funny commercials. Unfortunately I remember the scent as well.

It’s time to get pumpkins and carve them. I love Halloween, I have ghosts in my trees and I am going to do a craft I saw on fb. I have been saving tp tubes and I will be cutting scary eye holes in them, stuffing them with glow sticks and putting them into the hedge. It ought to look spooky. My son dresses in a ghoulish costume and sits in a chair outside as still as can be. He doesn’t try to scare the little kids, but it’s a hoot when he startles a dad out with his kids, or the older kids.
In the middle of nowhere! 
On 3 different boats for 4 trips, all wending 'round the Aleutians/Pribolofs. Seen ‘Deadliest Catch’? I was where they took the crab when they were done. (Though for all I know, the Deadliest Catch folks offloaded to shore-plants; on the boats, we went to THEM so they didn’t waste season time getting to shore) My last boat, and last two trips, were mostly out of Dutch Harbor trolling for cod. My first two boats were crab processors. Gimme crab any day of the week; doesn’t stink NEARLY as much as fish, ugh.
When I was at the job service place today getting my typing cert <75 wpm, whoot!> I saw Unisea was hiring; that’s the second Alaska-based processing company I’ve seen hiring in the last week. I would have thought about it, but they’re paying minimum and charging room and board, so fark that. The only points to doing that kind of work are 1. Racking up the overtime; with 12 hour days, it’s overtime after 8 hours, and it adds up and 2. Free room and board. So without the R&B fuggedaboutit.

I put the spiked collar on hell pup today and it was (new) bigger and went on much easier. So we are out walking and I was pleasantly surprised when she stopped pulling, not so pleasantly when I found out she had slipped the collar. Fortunately, all I had to do was say her name and hold up the collar and she shoved her head through. Must be her big ‘sister’s’ collar, or maybe they are expecting her to grow into it.
All y’all have such nice dinners. I’m having left over chicken sandwich from yesterday’s pizza night.
Home from Evening Prayer over to the church house. 'Twas wonderful as usual. A good dindin and a nice service. Life be good.

Cool Tao! I spent 22 years on Kodiak Island and my ex-husband is a commercial fisherman. He crabbed out west a lot, and salmon/halibut/cod/tanner crab fished around the island.

Yeah, that’s crazy charging for room and board, that’s one of the huge perqs for spending weeks of hard labor in the middle of nowhere. When I lived in Larsen Bay the cannery employed college students for the slime line and the egg plant, and they worked them hard. Fortunately for those kids there were those of us in the village who would take pity and invite them to our homes for meals and activities.
