A Substitute fun MMP(now elbow free!)

Up, and caffeinated. I’m chilling and watching football today. I’m having leftover 'que for breakfast

Moooommm!, cake has eggs and wheat in it, so it’s a breakfast food.

Tao, you naughty girl! I like that.

Pity party at my house. Anyone’s welcome to join me. I’m serving the whine, you can bring the cheese.

Sticky, I happen to have a nice chunk of this Dubliner Cheese <I dunno, that’s just what it’s called!> right here, and it’s nice for nibbling on. Not sure what else I’d DO with it, but I got it just for nibblin’, 'cause that’s what I do with most cheese, and it’s serving it’s purpose pretty well. So we are all set!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Sandy’s making me glad I’m not in Nawwfuk anymore. I had FUN during Isabel, don’t get me wrong, but I also avoided every bit of damage barring losing a couple hours of internet; had friends who were out of power for nearly a month after. For all that place gets so much rain, it’s overwhelmed SO easily by even a small amount of it, and for some reason it took forever to get the north shore back up after Isabel. I suspect it gets old after a while, so once was enough for me, I think. Hope everybody up-over there gets lucky with Sandy, too.

Breakfast shall be chunky beef-stuff in a can, and pate-chicken stuff…wait, that’s the animals’ breakfast! Lucky them, they went back to sleep after feeds; lucky me, once I’m awake, I’m up for the day no matter what.

Happy Sunday, stay safe!

My then bf had driven me to a belly dance gig, it was my last one of the day. I had to pee, really really badly and he wouldn’t pull over. I slipped the undies off and attempted to pee in a bottle, he grabbed my undies and threw them out the window.
Next day I have some more dances to do and I had forgotten my zils in his truck. I called him and his mother answered and said he was ‘sick’ and I explained I needed to get something out of his truck. She got his keys for me and decided she would walk with me to the truck.
Guess what is hanging off the corner of his bumper?
She gave me that ‘look’. I was mortified.

It’s getting cold, I may have to shut my window, or put on gloves.

No rain, very grey, little breezy.

Neighbors had a party last night, they are new to the neighborhood, I guess they never heard if you are going to keep everybody up you are supposed to invite them over.
It’s the polite thing to do, parents don’t teach their young’uns manners anymore.
Sounded like a lot of karaoke going on.
My son and I got to play name that tune.

irk and laundry for me today.

The gas panic has begun!!! We were going to stop on the way back from breakfast to top off the car’s tank, and the station was out of regular and plus - all they had left was premium. So **FCD **dropped me off here and he’s headed to the WaWa. I don’t know why he didn’t fill up on his way home from the office yesterday. Oh well. I’ve got half a tank in my Scion and the truck has just over half a tank - I’m pretty sure we’re good for gas. Especially since now the forecast track ashore is in NJ - a fair bit north of us.

First load of laundry is in the wash. The excitement has begun!!!

All deheathenated and home. The Lutheran Service is good and no problem for a Whishypalian like me to keep up with but I gotta say gimme the good ol’ Episcopal Book of Common Prayer Service anytime. Rite I or Rite II. It’s all good.

N.O.L. will be ready in about an hour. I’s starvin’ now!

:p:p:p You definitely win! Yeah, that’s something you’re probably never going to forgot; probably not his mom either. :p:p Hopefully she did something like that herself at some point, and was only giving you stinkeye 'cause she felt she had to. Maybe she laughed her ass off later. :stuck_out_tongue:

**FCM **and everyone else on the coast: Good luck, stay safe, fingers crossed! Doesn’t take massive damage to do harm; being without power for any length of time is scary/annoying/dangerous enough. I really hope Sandy just kinda gives up.

I just took a practice version of my big test and scored it. I did ok. But now I have a gigantic headache. I was thinking about going out for a walk but it’s cold and rainy so I think I’ll just pass on that.

All righty! **FCD **just finished all the necessary stuff for hooking up the house to the generator. Then we tried it out by throwing the main breaker and the breakers for all the big-load items. It worked - yay! So we will have power and we will have to be careful how much we turn on, but the fishies will be kept alive and we’ll have water and refrigeration.

Needless to say, by doing this, we’ve ensured that we’ll never lose power ever again. Ever.

FCM, you just blew it. BLEW IT!!

Hurry, go test again and make the evil eye sign against the sky, lol!

Ok, so now all the nearby churchy-people know what my jammies look like, as they got a good look as I shuffled down the street in my slippers, chasing Mouse as he tried to say “HI HI HI HI!!” to absolutely everyone.

At least you don’t sleep nekkid.

Or go throwing your panties at them.

Parents been, done stuff 'n gone. House has returned to childish state.

We’ve had mousey live traps out for weeks, in the kitchen, which is at the end of the living room. During those weeks, we caught just one extremely small mouse- so guess what happened with the parents sleeping in that room? About 2am, a sudden ‘clunk’, then a further 6 hours of ‘scritchscritch’… rattlerattlerattle… ‘scritchscritchscritchscritch’.

The mouse ain’t getting back to the house- we took him with us when we went out for the day, and let him out at Lyme Regis, a 2.5 hour drive away.
We went fossil hunting on the beach, found loads of ammonites; then went to the awkward festival today; my Mum bought loads of awkwards, my housemate came too and got one- while me ‘n Dad sat round being little bored kids. They’re pretty enough, ad kind of interesting, I just can’t spend 5 hours gettin’ that excited about plants, however pretty they are.
I’s now tired, and greatly enjoying being able to be a disgusting slob without horrifying me Mother. I think I might go watch something brainless.

Everyone stay safe from malicious weather!

I’ve had a typical Sunday afternoon. N.O.L., cleaned up the kitchen and napped. 'Tis coolish out as it’s only 58 Amurrkin and very windy. Nice day to stay in and nap, I say.

Tao I bet the neighbors just thought you’d been to Wally*World.

So I lied, it’s been dry all day since that bit overnight. Hatches are battened down, but that took < 5 mins. Some wood brought up near the house in case we want a fire tomorrow, just because.
Schools are already cxl’d for tomorrow. It’s just starting to drizzle & I already feel cabin fever setting in.
I think it’s time for a little nappage.

Hmmm do you live in my neighborhood, what does Mouse look like?

I need ice cream. Good thing I have some.

I love our local on-line classifieds. Within minutes of posting our small wood stove, we got a call and it was sold - WOOHOO!! Now, if we can just sell the insert…

PapaJohn made supper - yum!

Who’s gonna start us off tomorrow?
