A Substitute fun MMP(now elbow free!)

Spaghetti for dinner.
One day I am going to take over the kitchen and make the sauce from scratch.
I may not get in the kitchen all that much but when I do everybody needs to get the heck out of my way. Well, I’ll let my son in with me but only because he defers to my superiority in the kitchen and he likes chopping veggies. Everybody else has something to say, the pot’s too big or that’s the wrong one to boil water, and did you remember the salt and did you mean to put a cover on that. I added a little more oregano, or so and so doesn’t like green pepper do you have to use it?
They wonder why I don’t cook anymore, I wonder how they can be so stupid as to annoy me in a room full of knives.

So back to irk for me.

LOL I’ll tell my underwear caught in the bumper story if you tell your underwear in the tree story.
Although mine isn’t all that exciting.

I’d just like to clarify that I am completely familiar with what the thing is that PLAAFP stands for, it’s just that I’d never heard of it referred to in this manner before. Not that any of you really care but I just wanted to point out that I’m not a complete idiot. (Just partial.):stuck_out_tongue:

I had to google it too, but I should have known.
My son is dyslexic and struggled all through school.
Somewhere in his sophomore year it all came together for him, now he gets straight As, is taking AP classes and could have started college a year early. He opted to go to HS full time, I wish he’d started college but I don’t want to push.

Thai food was yumful. Conversation was witty and silly. Rosie is tired.

I raced CX

Footwear that comes off your feet easily (& sometimes accidentally) would not be that interesting to find alongside a sandy trail. OTOH, I can’t remember any/many times that my undergarments accidentally came off & got lost outside (swimming holes excluded). What was hanging was lacey.

Rosie! Poor baby!

Shavua Tov!

Home and tired. It was a fun show, but way too loud for such a small venue! I crammed a couple of pieces of paper napkin in my ears - it helped reduce the hurt. Did you know that Paul Revere of the Raiders is going to be 75 soon?? And I gotta say, his schtick between songs reminded me of the stupid kinds of jokes that grandfathers tell…

While there, I found out Paula Poundstone will be performing there in December - the day before our anniversary, as a matter of fact - and we’ve now got tickets. She cracks me up!! So I’m very excited about seeing her.

But now it’s time for bed. I’s tahred!!

MWAH!

Glad you had a good time!

I. Hate. You.

Outstanding!

Irked, came home, texted with Hockey Lady.

You say that like a bad thing.

Tao, I want carne asada too.

spidey, how did you finish?

Lol! :stuck_out_tongue: Mine’s not either, to be honest. It involved a half-hour romp in the grass, followed by my deciding to toss my unmentionables up on a tree branch.
‘cause, you see, the sprinklers had gone off during our romancin’, and they were wet and cold.
'cause this was in between a couple of trees, in the grass, between two government buildings on a fairly busy street. :stuck_out_tongue: AT NIGHT, though, geez! I’m not an exhibitionist, sheesh.

it’s raining, it’s pouring, Sandy came early.

The race was pushed back and started an hour later than expected so took off right away and didn’t wait for results; not great but I finished & I haven’t been riding much cross so they weren’t many expectations.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 52 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of only 71. Tonight’s low is predicted to be 41! Imagine! All this week will be lows in the 40s and highs in the low 70s. It’s like it’s Fall out or sump’n.

Tao I’m shocked! Not surprised, but shocked! :stuck_out_tongue:

Spidey:cool: Like doggio asked, how’d you do?

StickyBuns I googled PLAAFP and still don’t know what it is. I filed it under acronyms I don’t have to know. Og knows I have enough of those I need to know for irk.

FlyTrap I even have leftover steak and shrimp for tomorrow’s N.O.L.. So There! :stuck_out_tongue:

MOOOOOOM glad you had a good time. Paula Poundstone is a hoot so I am kinda jealous.

Rosie glad you had fun as well.

Today is Reformation Sunday so I shall go check it out with the Lutherans at the nine a.m. service. Who knows, I might even learn sump’n. At the least it could be fun joinin’ in with a bunch of Lutherans to sing A Mighty Fortress Is Our God aka The Lutheran Fight Song.

Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy is sayin’ “Feed Me Now!” Then one must purtify to deheathenate. Also I need to get the already prepared to cook chikin boobs in the slow cooker. I have chikin boobs, carrots, onions and cream of mushroom soup (get over it!) all ready to cook. I made enough oven roasted N.O.T. last night so they could be a side for today. I even already have green beans cooked. Go Me!

Happy Sunday Y’all!

blurf

I was going to go in for o/t today, part preventative “get ahead of the game” before Sandy arrives, part it’s end month and we’re half staffed due to approved vacation days. But based on how I feel today, I’d better just chill, then I’ll have enough “strength” to make it in tomorrow & Tuesday

So I’m gonna surf and sleep and chill and watch TV etc etc and stay in my pjs. ahhhhhhh.

Good morning! I have really tried to keep up this week but y’all have been chatty!

Made it back from my vacation finally no thanks to fog at Heathrow airport and work has been nuts

I am up early as LibbyCat trampled on me demanding to be fed and I didn’t want her to wake up mr ems. So I am surfing and watching TV and hoping he wakes up soon as I am starving.

Those in the path of Sandy hunker down and be safe!

Good morning! Page EIGHT??? dang…

I just looked at the weather radar for this general area and it’s really weird - it’s like there’s a magical line keeping Sandy’s rain from crossing the Chesapeake Bay. So while it’s all grey and chilly here, no rain yet, tho it’s still promised later and into tomorrow. We shall see!

Today’s biggest plan is laundry. Probably some knitting in there, too, and maybe some studio time. No biggies, tho - it’s mostly a lazy day.

One of my other sisters (not the one I went to the show with) returned my call last night to let me know that my mom got home from her cruise just fine but her phone was screwed up, which is kinda what I suspected. I just wanted to know she got home OK and not ask what she brought me from Italy because that would be so childish… :stuck_out_tongue:

Happy Sunday!

Gonna early vote today. Tried to yesterday, and the line was out the door and 2 hours long. I figure between church and the storm, today’s line will be shorter.

Laundry is in my future, too. I still have to get ready for 2 weeks in Sandy Yeggo.

Unless you get canceled again, BBBobbio! :stuck_out_tongue:

As it happens, I’ll be off work on election day, since that’s when our fireplace inserts are being installed. My polling place is less than a mile away, so I’ll zip over there before the workers get here and beat the after-work crowd.

**FCD **is still in bed, so I had to have a small piece of cake to sustain me till breakfast.
