Howdy Y’all! Back at da cave after gettin’ coiffed and a trip to :eek:Wally*World:eek:. I’ve had N.O.L. and now chillage ensues.
{{{Sari}}} so sorry about your aunt.

{{{Sari}}} so sorry about your aunt.
I have never been bothered by it myself. I thaw them out in a small bowl of water first, then off they go for their final swim.
Happy Birthday Doggio!!
Survived the ops yesterday and one eye is swollen shut today. :dubious: I may look as though I ran into a door.
Off to the DMV shortly. Huzzah!
My aunt would have been 96 in May, so that is a pretty good life.
I was reading my cousin’s post on FB and saw a post from a friend from HS, so I bopped over to checkout her FB page. This woman is my age and is a great-grandmother, GREAT-grandmother ::THUD::
I called my mother back after missing her call, and found out that her neighbor died Saturday. He’s the one who is married to the woman who sees children in her house and car. The one who used to drive around the block trying to get the kids out of car.
I had somebody knock on my door this morning. The knocker was looking for some woman named Holly? I’ve never heard of. The knocker was looking for a a 2 year old that Holly is supposed to be watching. Right address, wrong person.
Time to get ready to leave for the store.
where did everybody go?
Majik Intartoobz pizza and a sallit I made myself have been consumed. Chillage ensues.
Sunny glad you survived. Hope the eye is feelin’ better.
sari nobody comes to the front door except people who are solicitin’ or want to tell me about their religious beliefs. I don’t answer the front door unless I’m expectin’ a package via FedEx or UPS that requires a signature.
Happy birthday doggio!
{{{nathan}}}
I’m sorry about your aunt, sari.
doggio, I have my dad’s ration book from 1944. I scrapbooked it next to a picture of the family right before his oldest brother left to join the war.
I’m glad your surgery went well, sunny.
I knocked off at 1:30 today. The grocery shopping is done and valentines (and bills) are in the mail. I stole the general’s dindin from a passable [del]hog trough[/del] Chinese buffet where you can get a go box.
Tomorrow, I will be going to a memorial service for a friend’s mom who passed a week ago at 103. She was a librarian who got her family late. Even at her age, she was still doing crosswords and phrasing things in the form of a question when she watched Jepordy. Hers was a life well lived.
Pubs, bars, Belle Watling’s.
There’s a partial lunar eclipse at my house.
red sorry about your friend’s mom. Sounds like she was still goin’ strong.
We shall soon retire to the boudoir to watch teevee until sleepy time.
Nitey Nite Y’all!
Hugs for Sari and Red.
And now to lift a couple for Doggio like I promised!
Happy doggio day!!!
Just got back from Mom’s - long, tiring day. The bike show was pathetic - they didn’t have the flea market/swap meet part and the main building wasn’t nearly as full as in the past. We saw everything in under 90 minutes.
More tomorrow. Glad to be home tonight.
I made it through work. I went to the Wolfpack hockey game. They lost. And one of the college kids asked me if I had a son on the team.:mad:*
Thanks for the birthday wishes, it means a lot.
*Yeah, technically, I am old enough but I don’t feel old. “You’re only as young as you feel, so only feel young people.”
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 41 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 77 and N.O.S. for the day. Also, I have noticed the pine trees are beginnin’ their annual orgy. Little bits o’ yellow all over the place. ICK! No big plans for the day. OYKW mentioned N.O.L. at Cheddar’s last night. I guess we’ll do that if he’s still of a mind. I also need to figure out why the teevee in the livin’ room is not workin’. I’m hopin’ all I need to do is reset the satellite receiver.
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then we shall see what the day holds.
Happy Sattidy Y’all!
I got to bed late but I slept pretty well till I heard **FCD **getting up to tend to the dog. Since I was asleep before he came to bed, I know he’s tahred. I sent him back to his pillows and I’m having catch-up time on the computer.
Today’s plans, besides laundry, include giving **FCD **a haircut. It takes all of 3 minutes with the #1 guard on the clippers. When his hair gets to about 1/4" long, he decides he looks like a damn hippie! Other chores include cleaning the critters’ fountain and cleaning out the car - last night, I didn’t feel like bringing everything in. But mostly, an easy day.
So glad to be back to our own space and our own bed. My mom’s guest bed is much firmer than I like, plus it’s just a queen size, and for two adults and a fidgety dog, it doesn’t make for a restful night. On the plus side - Taz didn’t pee on anything while we were out, so huzzah!
Happy Saturday!!
Happy Saturday!
The sun is shining brightly. It’s 34 degrees outside; supposed to get up to 55.
I have lots to do, including changing the hospital pads under the litter boxes. They are all torn up and icky looking. A joyous job for sure! Since it’s supposed to rain tomorrow, we should go back outside to vacuum up leaves today. That can wait until it’s a bit warmer, and a bit later. I doubt the neighbors would appreciate hearing a leaf blower this early. The fridge needs to be organized. Sah-son puts stuff in there where ever, then he wonders why he can’t find anything. I have a system, I can find everything. Until he jumbles it up again.
First things first, run the dishwasher, which should have been done last night.
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. I’m off this weekend.
Victory! Takes 'em where you can get 'em!
I woke up this morning to find out that my mom’s ant collection had decided that a grease stain on one of my packed shirts was num num good, so I had an entire wagon train marching up and into my suitcase!:smack: This necessitated an quick unpack, smash, more smash, brush, brush, brush, and smash, and brush. I doubt I got them all. I guess times are desperate if you’re a California ant!
Off to the airport and back to Orygun!
:drumroll: You’re off every weekend! :rimshot:
Up, caffeinating and breakfasting. At some point, I’ll hit the shower, purtify and put on a grey or blue suit.
We did breakfast at Cracker Barrel. Now I need to haul the dirties downstairs and start washing our clothes. Eventually. Whatever.
I took Gordie for a walk. The temps went up 10 degrees in 20 minutes. N.C.: if you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes.
