Without for even a moment trying to defend trump and his many enablers and hangers on, I expect that this sort of crap is widespread nearly everywhere there are wealthy powerful males in the USA. And probably most other countries too.
Power and money, even vast power and huge money, are useless if you can’t buy the thing you really want. And what do most men deep in their lizard brain really want more of? Sex with any and every qualifying woman they see. All that remains is how well, and for what reason(s), individual males elect not to let their lizard brain run wild.
While I’m glad Cassidy Hutchinson finally came around, I’m not forgetting that she remained MAGA loyal for a year and a half after that incident.

I would have acted rabid myself if a guy were touching me at work and powers at be were cavalier about it. I had that happen to me once at work so I tore the nasty wretch’s hand up with my teeth. I don’t blame a person like Cassidy for being different from me but she definitely grew up in a place less savage.
And I would have applauded! I was correcting myself that comparing Rudy to a rabid dog does a disservice to rabid dogs. It’s not the dog’s fault that they became rabid. Rudy needs to own up to his own absolute failures as a basic human being, much less a theoretical leader of humans in a democratic society.
It’s hard to imagine who’d effectively play rudy in the movie adaptation of that shitshow administration.
Maybe Danny Devito can reprise an old role.

or Boris Karloff
should actually have to be alive to get the role.
It’s really impossible to overstate how fulfilling it is for someone who has watched closely his entire career, from his ‘crusading D.A.’ days to have the entire world come around to seeing him for the corrupt monster he always has been,
It was galling to hear him hailed as America’s Mayor in 2001, and praised by idiots around the world when he was just a crude racist authoritarian bully who happened to be in office when his city was attacked.
This appalling spectacle is extremely satisfying. He cannot suffer enough to fulfill my every hope but he’s trying.
