A thread for Rudy {Rudy Giuliani}

Sorry for the vitriol in my contribution, and thanks for the gentle, non-directive, non-scolding tone of your moderation. Much appreciated.

Rudy has issued a denial about the Hutchinson allegation:

More details on the action against him by his former lawyers for unpaid legal bills:

And yet we have his former assistant, who recorded rudy discussing his groping ways.

I would love for the people around rudy that day to testify to his activities. I suspect the words “sauced” and “shit faced” would be common. (To be clear, the consensus was that he was drunk on election night, but I have no reason to believe that January 6 was any different).

Perhaps so. I just feel that in a thread I started about Rudy, I should include his disclaimers, out of fairness.

A quick reminder for those wishing to express themselves beyond the bounds of P&E rules:

Rudy Giuliani ordered to be ‘present in person’ for every day of trial.

Not to mention his cameo in Borat 2, which did not paint him in a flattering light.

He claimed it was totally innocent. Innocent!

“I had to take off the electronic equipment,” Giuliani told WABC. “And when the electronic equipment came off, some of it was in the back and my shirt came a little out, although my clothes were entirely on. I leaned back, and I tucked my shirt in, and at that point, at that point, they have this picture they take which looks doctored, but in any event, I’m tucking my shirt in. I assure you that’s all I was doing.”

If you watch, that’s not at all what it looks like.

Given all of the allegations since then, it’s even harder to believe.

Not for him. Trump doesn’t like lawyers who lose.

I went and tried it, only to find my location wasn’t turned on. So instead, it put me at Wallis and Futuna in the middle of the South Seas Islands. (I swear I’ve never been there, but maybe that’s where my dreams have been taking place? I got nothing)

Anyway, I think Giuliani should go down in history as an object lesson taught to kids of what happens to formerly respectable prominent persons when they fall into corruption—what a steep, ugly fall it is.

In the batters box. Lindsey Graham. Well, almost the whole damn line up of the GOP.

He was respectable at one point? I’m genuinely asking.

He seemed to be. He called Trump completely unfit for the office of the President. And then…

He’s just another republican windsock. Any which way the wind blows.

He’s a remora. He’ll glom onto whichever shark is currently dominant.

More like Salacious B. Crumb from the Star Wars universe (Jabba’s little cackling buddy).

Yeah. Perfect. And to think that I actually had a little of respect for Lindsey when he called out Trump for what he is. That was in the Primary’s.

This also shows how Trump will do an about face for anyone, as long as you kiss his butt first. But then you have to suck something else.

He was critical of Trump as long as he thought Trump had no chance of winning and was going to go away as he had in the past when he’d flirted with trying to seek the nomination.

Once Trump became “the guy” he did a complete 180.

He’s like that stereotypical character in an 80s film that bullied and/or mocked the protagonist before they did something to become popular, and then starts acting like they’ve always been their friend.

And he did the same on January 6. In the votes that night, he said something along the lines of “it’s been a wild ride with Trump, but it’s over”.

Then the polling came in, and he’s back to remora status.
