See? See? I was completely correct. Please ignore the rest of the clarifications the actual attorneys provided where they contradict my post.
Each juror would have to agree to $5,000,000.50 or that would not be the verdict.
Rudy is doubling down on his lies about the two Georgia election workers:

What a knucklehead.
I’m sure demonstrating an utter lack of remorse will work out well for him when damages are awarded…
The article mentioned that Rudy’s age might be an issue in his intemperate statements. I have wondered for a while now if a competancy hearing of some sort is in order with regard to Giuliani.
As the article notes, this puts his lawyer in an awkward spot. Just like the claims of fraud, Rudy is saying one thing in court, admitting he lied, and another thing outside of court.
The lawyer is now open to the question: “Were you misleading the jury about your client’s remorse?”
Brain age or liver age?
Wow, first Rudy got chastised by Judge Howell. Now, he’s been chided, upbraided and scolded by the judge.
Poor Rudy must have a slightly sore wrist from all that slapping.
Brain age, his liver left town long ago.
Giuliani reportedly has heavily abused alcohol for many years. Enough that even Trump was wary about how much responsibility to give him during his presidency.
About half of the nearly 20 million alcoholics in the United States seem to be free of cognitive impairments. In the remaining half, however, neuropsychological difficulties can range from mild to severe. For example, up to 2 million alcoholics develop permanent and debilitating conditions that require lifetime custodial care (Rourke and Löberg 1996). Examples of such conditions include alcohol-induced persisting amnesic disorder (also called Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome) and dementia, which seriously affects many mental functions in addition to memory (e.g., language, reasoning, and problem-solving abilities) (Rourke and Löberg 1996).
That could certainly explain how bizarre his behavior has been in the past handful of years.
I still think a constant diet of right-wing media causes brain damage, and Rudy is Exhibit A.
The Scotch is certainly a contributing factor and the two in combination equal brain death.
As has been commented in the DJT threads, judges have limited disciplinary powers. Use them too much or too quickly, and you might be opening yourself to a bias argument.
Where judges have power is in the directions they give to the jury.
Assuming the plaintiffs’ lawyer puts that clip to the jury, the judge could give an instruction that the jury may consider whether the expressions of regret made by Rudy’s lawyers to them in his opening address were a genuine statement of Rudy’s heartfelt remorse, or whether they should conclude that Rudy’s true position is a complete lack of remorse which he tried to hide by his lawyer’s statements.
Then, if the jury does find that there is a true lack of remorse, the judge could advise that it is in their discretion how to take that into account in assessing damages.
All very antiseptic and logical; “if - then” options for the jury, in their discretion.
Long run, far more significant than the judge trying to rein Rudy in and raising issues of biais.
… what, this site doesn’t display pictures any more?
Lol, with lawyers like this, who needs prosecutors?
That is one possible explanation.
Given Rudy’s recent statement to the press, there may be another reason his lawyer advised him against testifying.
On Monday, he said he didn’t regret his earlier statements and promised the public would “get the whole story” once he testified, which will no longer happen. " Oh no, we’ll never get the epic saga!
I don’t see how deliberations could take long.
