When I see that someone like Giuliani is grossly overpaying for something, I suspect a tax dodge. Is it a legitimate business expense, or is he somehow funneling the money back to himself while deducting it from his taxes?
Remember, Rudy allegedly had his own “handshake agreement” to pay a female “political consultant” a million dollars a year to make his daily liquor store runs and give him blowjobs. So, paying it forward, Trump style….
I read the other day that Trump claimed that Rudy got stiffed on legal fees because he failed to deliver on his commitments; to wit, he failed to successfully steal the election. “Failing to deliver on promises” is of course Trump’s standard lifelong excuse for stiffing everybody, although apparently it doesn’t apply to Trump himself. Ironically, now that Rudy has been charged with serious crimes for these acts, Trump also has no intention of paying Rudy’s legal fees either.
Good guess. It’s apparently being paid to Trustpoint. One, which bills themselves as an “integrated legal services provider … [addressing] the entire litigation life cycle”. I don’t know what the buzzwords mean, except that Rudy obviously knew for quite some time that he was in deep trouble with the law. Mainly because – to put it plainly – that he knew that many of the things he was doing for the Orange Menace were flagrantly illegal.
I think Rudy is screwed. Even flipping now won’t help him, the prosection has everything they need to convict DJT so there’s little incentive for them to offer Rudy a deal for his testimony. So the big RICO prosecutor gets taken down on RICO charges. Sweet irony.
Were I in Rudy’s shoes, even knowing I wouldn’t get any consideration for flipping, I’d still do it just to burn Trump. If I’m drowning for someone who won’t even help me you can bet I’m going to be an albatross and drag 'em down with me.
