A Thread for the Mueller Investigation Results and Outcomes (Part 1)

His two new advisors

What’s up with dropping many charges against Gates? I’m thinking that’s a reward for his cooperation, which must have yielding a bumper crop of fruit. Perhaps this sends a signal to Manafort, “see what happens to good boys who sing?” Or perhaps what Gates has delivered makes Manafort’s cooperation redundant and there will be no deal with him. It seems to me that they already had Manafort dead to rights, so Gates wasn’t being rewarded for testimony against him- it must have been info on someone in the Donald Family itself.

So Hope Hicks says her job was to tell white lies for the administration. I don’t think Mueller buys into the notion of white lies.

This whole ship is going to sink. Exciting times ahead!

Republicans will look at the report, express their trouble and their concern, then pretend nothing happened.

They will have to make a choice. Does their loyalty lie with Donald and Party, or does it lie with the nation? They may well wonder why they should be loyal to a man- uh person-- wait creature who has never shown any loyalty to anyone in his entire life. That ship is going down and the lifeboats are leaving.

#WhiteLiesMatter

:flees:

I laughed out loud. Thanks.

Oh my god, don’t encourage him. (But I did, too.)

These are the same people who are convinced that George Soros should be in prison, if not beheaded.

That choice is made. They made it long ago.

I’ve never heard congressional Republicans say anything about George Soros one way or the other. I wasn’t talking about the common Republican muck with their blogs and their memes, I mean McConnell and that bunch. The ones who ruin lives then smile.

Right. This is the Facebook meme crowd. Ryan and McConnell are the ones that will have to either find a conscience or go down with the ship. It would be nice if they could develop the sense of patriotism that Howard Baker and Barry Goldwater found in 1974 but that remains to be seen.

Let’s be fair - it’s the job of every WH Communications Director to tell little white lies for their administration. The problem is that the lies Hicks tells ain’t so white and certainly ain’t little.

I’ll smack you as soon as I stop applauding.

Yes they did. Now they can hang for it.

“He stabbed himself in the back fifty times, and then threw himself off the roof.”

“He fell on a knife four times”

“He ran over himself when his brakes failed.”

He apparently fell backward by accident on a dozen salad forks.

[…]

At least three appear to have thrown themselves backward on salad forks, perhaps in a noble gesture of grief over the King’s untimely end.

Wait, she used those words? Out loud?

I must have missed the link. Could you re-post it, pretty please?

Here’s one. Talking Points Memo.

How so? They’ll pay at the voting booth during free and fair elections? I have my doubts about that. Is it Michigan or Wisconsin that has just decided that, since the Republicans would lose a special election, there will be no special election? Republicans have no problem brushing aside the rules when it suits them. They favour the prerogative state over the normative state and I don’t see why they’d decide to change that.
