Jill Stein says she won’t fully comply with Senate Russia investigation
After months of silence, Stein says she will withhold information from Congress.

Surprising nobody, the Russian lawyer at the famous Trump Tower meeting has much closer ties to the Kremlin than has previously been acknowledged.
If the Trump Organization was one of his clients, couldn’t one of the people requiring an abortion payoff be one of Trump’s sons?
Of course it won’t be voted on. Duh. It doesn’t have to “go anywhere” for the point to be made (a point that you seem to have missed).
The excerpt was from the Wiki bio of Stormy Daniels’ attorney. If you’re looking for excerpts from Michel Cohen’s Wikipedia bio, here you go:
he was Executive Vice-President of the Trump Organization…
As of April 2018, he is under investigation by federal prosecutors into multiple matters, including bank fraud, wire fraud and campaign finance violations …
As of 2017, Cohen was estimated to own at least 34 taxi medallions through 17 limited liability companies… Between April and June 2017, the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance filed seven tax warrants against Cohen and his wife for $37,434 in unpaid taxi taxes due to the MTA…While an executive at the Trump Organization, Cohen was known as Trump’s “pit bull.”…
In 2015, in response to an inquiry by reporter Tim Mak of The Daily Beast concerning rape allegations (later recanted) by Ivana Trump about her then-husband Donald Trump, Cohen said, “I’m warning you, tread very fucking lightly, because what I’m going to do to you is going to be fucking disgusting.”The Trump–Russia dossier, that was published in January 2017, alleges that Cohen met with Russian officials in Prague in 2016 with the objective of paying those who had hacked the DNC and to “cover up all traces of the hacking operation”. Cohen has denied the allegations against him, [saying] “I’m telling you emphatically that I’ve not been to Prague, I’ve never been to Czech [Republic], I’ve not been to Russia.”
… However, on April 13, 2018, the DC Bureau of McClatchy Newspapers reported that Special Counsel Robert Mueller has evidence that Cohen did travel to Prague during the late-summer of 2016, with two sources having confirmed this secret trip. The evidence is said to show that Cohen entered the Czech Republic from Germany, and since both countries are in the Schengen passport area, Cohen would not have received a passport stamp to enter Czech territory.[31] The following day, Cohen again denied he has “ever been to Prague”[et cetera, et cetera]
Isn’t Cohen a Jew?
Depends, can we revoke his membership in the Tribe?
Meh, it won’t go anywhere. There is as much chance of this legislation being voted on as there was of the house’s 67th repeal of Obamacare becoming law.
And by not going anywhere, it will reinforce the (correct) Trumpian idea that congress won’t stand against him.

That’s a poor reason to do nothing.
That’s a poor reason to do nothing.
It is, however, a good reason not to be so excited by what they are (not really) doing.
I’m liking this.

The measure sent a clear message to President Trump that there would be serious consequences to firing the special counsel.
Ooh, serious consequences, like an extra-strong tsk-ing.
Unfortunately, it’s all just guff so they can hedge their bets and pretend to be critics of #45 while also eventually falling in line with the administration when push comes to shove.
Does making a payment on someone’s behalf necessarily make that person your client?

Well, if your job is “professional problem fixer,” then yes.
Does making a payment on someone’s behalf necessarily make that person your client?
Does drafting a contract on someone’s behalf and then getting someone else to sign it make that person your client?
I’m no expert, but it kinda seems like it would.

Seems like the very essence of acting as the person’s agent. An agent-client relationship strikes me as inescapable.

That’s why I’m asking. Seems like it would, but I dunno, maybe there’s a reason it wouldn’t and therefore the payment wouldn’t have to be for Trump/Trump org/Hannity.
So Stormy’s judge has put that case on hold, since one of the defendants is facing criminal charges. That doesn’t seem fair. “Justice Delayed is Justice Denied.” Lawyers comment please.
Why can’t they proceed with the deposition of Donald J. Trump? After all, he’s not under criminal investigation, is he?
I have no idea where to put this, but I’ll put it here.

Same logic applies to her as Trump. In fact, no longer hemming and hawing takes it up one more step. Instead of her just having some bad ties to Russia, I now can’t help but suspect that she was part of it. She did siphon votes away from Clinton, who Russia wanted to stop.
Big balls of brass.

Trump says Putin ordered her to say that to make him, Trump, look bad because he’s been so tough on Russia.
President Donald Trump suggested Saturday night that Russian President Vladimir Putin might have directed a Russian lawyer who met with Trump campaign associates in 2016 to disclose ties to Moscow recently in order to sow chaos for him in retaliation...
