Apparently Nunes and Gowdy’s gang aren’t satisfied with having thousands of classified documents in their possession. Even today, they’re threatening impeachment of DoJ officials. I guess they won’t be satisfied until they are able to use all of the documents and recreate their own reality to compete with those of impartial investigators.
So there you have it: Republicans in Congress, despite saying all along that the president shouldn’t fire Mueller, are colluding with Trump to discredit the investigation first – then he can be fired after the mid-terms, I suppose.
For all the Trumpists who got excited that maybe Federal Judge T. S. Ellis was on their side because he made comments that the special counsel should not have “unfettered power” in conducting his investigation/prosecution of Paul Manafort… Womp, WOMP. (Reuters)
Remember, too, that Mueller provided this judge with an unredacted copy of Rosenstein’s memo granting Mueller’s team authority to pursue the charges. Wonder what he saw.
