A Thread for the Mueller Investigation Results and Outcomes (Part 1)

I read a Twitter post that said that just days ago, Kennedy announced his new clerks for the next term of the Court, and then randomly resigned. Can’t verify it it’s true or not.

And now for the brutal reality: Republicans mandating sanctions on Russia is nothing more than theater. They know Russia has hacked into the political system and they want to be on record as supporting sanctions in case there’s outrage later, but their actions in refusing to push Trump on sanctions and in trying to end Mueller’s investigation say everything we need to know. The Republican party is a party that does not respond to voters; it is a party of billionaire oligarchs. Moreover, Russian oligarchs and operatives have infiltrated the system, and I suspect that they have significant political influence within the Republican party itself through their connections with the Mercers and other oligarchs who have no use for real democracy.

Supposition, mostly. Justice Kennedy’s son Justin was the head of real estate capital markets at Deutsche Bank, and, as such, was involved in some deals with the Trump Organization, and the Trump Organization and Deutsche Bank have a pretty solid relationship.

To be clearer - Kennedy Jr and Trump himself had a substantial amount of personal contact during his real estate development days. The extent to which this matters is yet to be determined, but the connection is closer than just the two organizations working together.

And at a time when Deutsche Bank was inexplicably lending Trump wheelbarrows full of money when no one else would touch him.

In other news, Cohen again indicates he will flip on Trump:

“Once I understand what charges might be filed against me, if any at all, I will defer to my new counsel, Guy Petrillo, for guidance. To be crystal clear, my wife, my daughter and my son, and this country have my first loyalty.”

Friend posted this article on my FB feed:

Trump’s business career is more connected to Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy than we ever knew (Business Insider). Go figure.

Cohen is just openly begging/threatening for a pardon… or, at least, for someone to cover his legal bills.

Given how little success Papadopolous’s wife has had with her Oh, Fuck Me account, open extortion is probably his best play.

But…but…what is there to extort? Trump has done nothing wrong. I mean, he’s said so, repeatedly.

Looks like Mueller may have the NRA’s tax filings.

Hey, now! She has raised $470 in the past week. That only leaves her $74,530 short of her goal. She just needs to yank on those bootstraps a little harder.

The possible Russia–>NRA–>Trump money flow is one of the most interesting aspects of this debacle to me. It’s kind of been bubbling under the surface for a while, with stories like this bobbing up here and there. While my main hope for the Mueller investigation is that it results in the entire Trump criminal organization behind bars and the several members of the Trump admin permanently excluded from politics, I would also be really, really, really happy if the NRA fell apart too.

As Rick Wilson says, “Everything Trump Touches Dies”. I hope that includes the NRA. Of course, it probably also includes the rest of the United States, too.

Well her original goal was $200,000, but once she gauged the public enthusiasm for her cause she down weighted expectations.

As important as things are at the national level, I’m actually more interested in what crooked shit was done - that can be handled at the state level - where Trumpy pardons are worthless and the Repug traitors in Congress can’t interfere.

It’s all the effort your stupid crap was worth.

Putin may have rekindled the idea, but it was first crammed into Turmp’s pea sized “brain” back in 1987.

Good. I hope he sends a shitload of them to prison too.

Uhoh, Michael Cohen has earned the wrath of Fox News.

I found it interesting and amusing that Manafort aide and Ruddian connection Konstatin Kilimnik was one of the donors He gave $5.

And Joesph Misfud, the “mystery” professor in the Russian probe, gave $10.

These guys are cheapskates.

Well, you know, those damn sanctions…

Apologies if this has already been posted but Timchenko has ties to the Trump administration via Vlad’s son-in-law.
