This latest attempt at a “scandal” shows the GOP is basically using a cargo cult mentality when it comes to sex scandals. They think “woman accuse Republican of sex crimes, Republican get in trouble. I get any woman to accuse someone I don’t like of sex crimes and all will be well.” They don’t understand how these things develop and you can’t just buy yourself a scandal.
Cute turn of phrase, but in all reality they’ve been doing that since like… forever.

No. You can try and use money to get a scandal, but it still takes work. You need to make sure things add up, you need to not leave a trail a person using twitter can find without even leaving Google Image Search. These guys just figured they could buy one like it was in a vending machine. Like I said: Cargo Cult mentality.

Nah, it’s totally possible to buy a scandal, though I admit it was easier to pull off decades past before literally everything and everyone left a digital paper trail.
However, thanks to that digital paper trail, you have to be, well, not a complete idiot if you want that scandal to last longer than a soap bubble. What we’re seeing here did not pass muster.
