A Thread for the Mueller Investigation Results and Outcomes (Part 1)

Also, per ABC News, Michael Cohen arrived in DC this morning accompanied by one of his criminal defense lawyers. He did not answer questions from reporters.

Oh, and according to CNN, at least eight of Mueller’s prosecutors are working today even though it’s a federal holiday. https://twitter.com/MarshallCohen/status/1062081934430556160

Fasten your seatbelts and get out the popcorn!

I would half-expect them to be working as close to around-the-clock as possible. Some say that with government jobs you can be assured that just punching in your 40 hours is enough, but sometimes you might want to work a little more just for the sake of your country.

Plus they have a big presentation to do for Whitaker.

Quite a number of people have made statements that they were about to be indicted, starting from 6+ months ago at least, and they’re all still out and about in the world.

I feel like there’s some sort of political motive to these statements, since I don’t think they’re based on any real knowledge. Maybe they’re just trying to get people to go to their GoFundMe’s.

To be sure, they may well be indicted any day now. I just don’t think that there’s any reason to think that this particular statement is based on more than the one issued months ago.

I’m still trying to figure out what the hell the foxnews Twitter silence for three days now is all about. It’s weird, but I have no hypothesis.

Caravan hasn’t made much progress.

Perhaps they’ve been banned ala Alex Jones. I saw something about this a couple of days ago in the “Is Fox news really that bad?” thread. I assumed that it was short-lived.

I really want everything to come out soon, for good or bad.

Well they have to stop a lot to pray to Mecca, and treat the leprosy.

Hypothesis I have heard:

  1. FoxNews and other conservative sites are taking themselves off of SM platforms they think treats conservatives unfairly.
  2. Murdoch, et al, are reevaluating Trump and their support with an eye on 2020 and are going as dark as they can.

#1 sounds more plausible than CT-heavy #2, obviously, but why they haven’t promoted this if their intent is to make a point?

So… who knows!

Not to mention give birth to terrorists.

Apparently, they’re protesting against Twitter by boycotting it.

<sarcasm> I’m sure that Twitter is seeing a huge drop in their traffic and cares about this loss of a content provider deeply. </sarcasm>

Do they know that Twitter is the Orange Hollowkull’s favorite way to communicate? Is someone gonna tell him?

Not a very solid statement but @PaulaReidCBS just tweeted

I know #1 is the prevailing hypothesis, but as you note, if they were doing this, I would think they would advertise (grandstand) it, and not just walk away quietly.

I think it would be hilarious if Whitaker recuses himself - the twitter tirade would be worth it.

I was just thinking this, and hoping that the prospect (now public!) at least drives Trump to do or say something to/about Whitaker to make him wonder whether it’s worth it to support this man.

The Mueller investigation will continue. Whitaker can’t stop it. There’s simply too bright a spotlight on it.

The question for me is what he’ll do to the rest of the DOJ.

Strictly speaking, this is not the Mueller investigation but the Russian Federation has responded to the DNC lawsuit against them for hacking.

Their defense - if the DNC was hacked, it was the Russian military and thus exempt from prosecution because of sovereign immunity.

Ao, this seems to be “this was not a crime, it was a military attack and courts have no jurisdiction”.

So, if the Russian military attacked us and Americans help - what is that called?
