I don’t see anything coming of the Cohen testimony to Congress. What he will say is what we already know - Trump ordered the payments to the two women, and discussed ways to try to keep it quiet. The fact that the Stormy Daniels payment legally had to be considered a campaign-related expense and therefore reported, makes this a violation of campaign finance laws, and worse, a conspiracy to commit fraud to violate those laws. But we already know all that.
Quid pro quo’s with Russians aren’t in his wheelhouse.
I’m hoping that at the very least it results in a few sleepless nights at the Hannity household.
Oh, no, no, no. So long as Mueller clears it, Cohen is free to discuss anything about which he is asked. Anything at all.
As for quid pro quos with Russians not being in his wheelhouse, not sure where you got that idea. Cohen married into a family with significant Russian mob ties. (Rolling Stone)
And that whole being-in-Prague thing… the informed speculation around that excursion is that Cohen was there to issue payment to Russian hackers.
So totally his wheelhouse.
I expect Mueller to keep him off the really big juicy stuff relating to Russia, anything that might compromise all the hard work Mueller and his team have done. But even putting that stuff aside, Cohen can spill whatever he likes about payoffs to other women, other “secrets in the vault,” money laundering through Trump’s various holdings, racketeering, extortion, tax evasion… shall I go on? This hearing is going to be… ummm… yuge.
But that is Shepard Smith, who is the resident voice of sanity at Fox and he is known for debunking the right wing narrative. It doesn’t represent any sort of shift of the general FOX viewpoint.

“Trump team should be allowed to ‘correct’ final Mueller report, says Giuliani”-See here. And he thinks they should be allowed to do this before Congress or the public gets to see it!
Rudy thinks Trump’s team should be able to “edit” the final Mueller report before it’s released.

On the bright side, the misspellings, random capitalizations and exclamation points should make the edits pretty easy to spot.

For about two years now, I feel like I’ve woken up in an alternate universe. This though, is like Trump saying that he’s some sort of master in technology.
If my boss or a coworker talked like these people to, I would assume really, really bad drugs, or a stroke.
On The Daily Show yesterday Trevor Noah played a clip of Trump giving a history lesson on walls vs wheels. Noah said that if a football player got up from being tackled and talked like that, they’d cart him off the field and check his brain.
