Okay, this comes from seeing a movie in class in which a large group of protesters is being shot at. As one can predict, the group panicks and flees, with the shooters persuing and shooting nigh anything that moves. I commented to my friends in the class that those with since would fall down as if they had been shot, and not move.
I subsequently told this to Luna Child, and she disagrees. She believes that it would be smarter to keep running as it makes you less of an easy target.
If I had any “since” (I’m assuming you meant sense), then I would decide where the best cover was and play dead behind that.
Unfortunately, if i was being shot at, sense wouldn’t play much of a part and I would probably run in a dead straight line away from who was shooting me.
If you’re being shot at by a standing shooter with a handgun, run and try to zigzag a lot until you’re behind cover.
If you’re being shot at by somebody with a rifle, or who is prone or in a stable shooting position, get down behind the first thing you can. Only move if and when the shooter does.

If you’re being shot at by a line of well-trained forces, I don’t know. If I thought their objective was to kill as many as possible, maybe run. If I thought their objective was to ‘clear out’ an area, probably fall beside someone else who was shot.
Hey! I know how to solve this! Lets get a group of people, give one of them a gun and tell him to start firing wildly into the crowd! You can stop and pretend to be dead, and I’ll run for cover. When he stops shotting, we’ll see who comes out alive!
