A time-traveling, hijacked MMP

I’m up and caffienating. Since I drink my coffee black, there was no chance I’d mistake beans for milk!

One of us has to take my son down to the skating rink for a work related thing by 11:00 today. I really hope it’s my husband, because I’m tired of running to and fro!

No big plans for today, yardwork, chores, that’s about it.

Howdy, all. It’s another lovely warm day here. All the windows are open, and the fresh air is just wunnerful.

Yay for Taterson!

Muppet, who or what is TVCTPMO?

Mmmm, Herbs, coffee with chick peas. Sounds perfectly…revolting!

Isaac had another rough morning – Papa Tigs took him to the dog beach. Second time this weekend – we also took him yesterday afternoon. During the afternoon, it’s a real mixture of dogs, and yesterday being a warm day, there were LOTS out – half a dozen labs of each color, several Rottweilers, two standard poodles, a number of golden retrievers, one mastiff mixture, and even a sweet old lumbering giant Newfie (at least half again Oliver’s size, snowbunny, I’m talking HUGE!), many of the dogs there for there first time ever. There was a 7-month-old lab who was bouncing around like a kangaroo, it was so cute! Oh, and there was a dachsund who thought he could swim with the Big Guys. Early in the morning, however, is Lab Exercise Time – Papa Tigs said there were 30 labs there by the time they left the beach this morning at 8:15. If it didn’t involve getting up way too early, I’d go down and get a picture of it sometime. Maybe one of these days.

I’m contemplating working, but haven’t gotten there yet. I tore out the scarf again this morning – decided I wanted it knit looser, and also wider so it could be used as a light wrap as well as a scarf; it wasn’t quite wide enough with the 2 extra pattern repeats I’d added. So I added 3 more; that should be plenty. The other scarf pattern I’m going to knit has a wrap option, but this one I had to do that dreadful thing, math, for. That’s the irony of all us math-hating types who ended up knitters – there’s a surprising amount of math involved in knitting. Like, “Increase 14 stitches evenly across your 127-stitch row.” Fun. Not. This one wasn’t so bad, I just had to add 7-stitch repeats. But on my first cuppa joe? It was moderately challenging.

Anyway, back to doing something constructive. Like caffeinating some more, and checking the laundry. There can’t be too much caffeination on weekends.

I’m sure he saw me. I was the one with the beard.

Actually, swampy might want to consider a career change. There are a lot of bears in info security.

The Vast Conspiracy To Piss Me Off. It started with Bobbio and moved over to Muppet.

Just came back from taking Zeldadog for a walk. There’s a parvo outbreak in Armpit County so I’m not taking her to the creek until that’s taken care of. It’s a good thing she doesn’t like other dogs.

Of course! He told me about you. He was the skinny, tall one without the beard.

I’ve spent my paycheck, so I can go out and garden now. OK, not really, but I wound up buying more than I intended to. Only really optional parts were a couple of knitting magazines, I think.

I have enough TP and paper towels to make swampy proud.

Also, chocolate.

I’ma relax and knit for a bit (heh, I rhymed) and then go out and mow and remove dandelions (not in that order).

Back later…

GT

Sniff It does make me proud whenever someone heeds my words of wisdom re there is no such thing as too much tp. Sniff

Howdy Y’all! I was AWOL yesterday cause I got really busy. I defilthyfied da cave, wiped down all the tables and chairs on the back porch and cleaned the gazebo and bar at the pool. I was a tahred bear when I finished and crashed early.

gotti did you drool on any of the security guards? :stuck_out_tongue:

Yay for taterson’s permit and first day at work!

Everybody else, yays, boos, hugs, noogies, trouts and chitlins as needed.

Actually, Swampy, he’s been working since last Monday, with last Wednesday being the first day at the store.

The poor kid will be in hell tomorrow, though. Tomorrow is the official grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony and everything. He has to work. All the same, he’s stoked for it.

He had fun at the little employee outing at the skating rink though. He’s actually very, very good on rollerblades and was beating the trainers in the races and obstacle courses they set up. He’s hoping that within a month he can be an actual carhop and not have to work drive through.

The lawn is mowed, but it’s not very warm out. My daughter’s boyfriend is here and he’s grilling lunch for us. Works for me!

Back and EXHAUSTED!! Plus slightly sunburnt. But all of the grey painting is done. Next weekend, I’ll check for missed spots, and we’ll be officially done. I hope.

Off to nosh on some leftovers. Then I need to write my 3-page paper on raku. I will finish it tonight. I hope.

I need food - haven’t eaten since breakfast. Laterz…

Welp, the chick pea can opening turned into a good thing, because I had gotten some tahini and intended to make some hummus, which I did. And it tastes pretty good, even if it was a bit on the chunky side (I don’t have a food processor or working blender). Just mashed it all up with a fork, believe it or not. It worked though I think the quantities need tweaking. I put garlic, a bit of horseradish and lemon juice in it as well as spices. Ooh boy is that stuff tasty.

It got right hot today here, as I’m sure Moooom will attest to. BTW, Mooom, I forgot to tell you how impressive the reef turned out! Count me in with those who don’t like (read scared to death of!) moray eels …!

Thinking good thoughts for taterson for tomorrow!

When you swim in the sea
And an eel bites your knee
That’s a moray!
I couldn’t help it. I just had to get that one out.

That was terrible, Swampy.

I have had a very productive day. I ran errands, sanded the porch swing, planted 3 plants and sprayed Round Up on the burgeoning weeds, swept and mopped the kitchen floor and made cookies. Oh and switched my drawers to Tshirts and shorts etc and put the sweaters away.
I am feeling very righteous about now. Hope all had as good a day as I did.

Didn’t we once build a whole MMP around “That’s Amoré” puns?

Yay me - I wrote my 3-page report on raku. It ain’t great, but I did learn a lot while doing it. I may have to build myself a raku kiln. Someday.

I’m having a bowl of ice cream, trying to chill. I think I’ll knit a little before I lapse into unconsciousness. We’re doing a training exercise at work this week, and I’m assigned to the 9-5 team, so I don’t have to show up at 6:30 as usual. I may actually be able to post in the morning. Goodness knows, I won’t sleep in - not with **FCD **getting up the usual time.

Off to knit. Have a great evening, all.

Oh yeah, **rosie **- I think we did…
