A time-traveling, hijacked MMP

Draelin – was it a rechargeable battery or disposable? What you described should never happen. Who manufactured the product?

You’re telling me!

Disposable battery, Rayovac, only installed about a week ago. As for who made the apparatus, I honestly couldn’t tell you, and I’ve removed the Object of my Mortification out of the house. I would lay the blame there, though. It was old, and I had already decided to replace it when I had the cash. Now I kinda have to.

I’m not looking to sue anyone–because really, how to I tell my grandma about my upcoming civil case? How I I take days off to visit my lawyer?

Swampy, I called TMI on myself before I even typed it and I used spoiler tags. If you know about it, it is now officially your own fault. :stuck_out_tongue:

Bobbio, glad to hear AmEx didn’t just put the charge through. Sometimes I’m glad for those credit card fraud detection departments. Except when they decide a day trip to Pennsylvania couldn’t possibly have been me using my own card fifty miles from my house and cut it off without telling me first.

gt, life in the Bell Tower is the same as always. Oooh! I wasn’t around last summer to tell you guys the great Saga of how we got hit by lightning (the building, not the people) and how we spent four hours out in a pouring thunderstorm while the firemen put the house out. There was no damage to my unit, but I was in the tower at the time and was probably no more than thirty feet away from the spot on the roof where it hit. Of course, I was too busy screaming, running out of my room, saying “Holy %&#*, did you hear that?” to Roomie and then lamenting the non-surge-protection of our Wii to notice the building was on fire until a fireman knocked on our door.

Rode hard, and put away wet? :stuck_out_tongue:

I have been useful. Da cave has been dusted and vacuumed and the bathroom and kitchen cleaned to a level of sanitary.

I had popcorn for dindin. Maybe I need some strawberry ice cream for dessert. What? Corn is a veggie and strawberries are a fruit. That means it’s healthy.

Welcome back, Drae! Tis good to hear from you again, although  at what happened … and a chuckle after things returned to normal. What a bizarre thing to have happen, though!

I’m laying about waiting for “Number 1 Ladies Detective Agency” to come on - it’s a good show, on HBO though, if anyone is interested.

Soapy lighting a candle for the Holocaust victims.

The fire sounds interesting…
I made dinner AND cleaned up the dishes after AND made brownies, which are in the oven as we speak (type?). What do I get?
I stripped more off the front porch swing, but it was so cold and damp outside, I gave up. I also went to a wake today. 57 year old man, thin, in shape–at the health club several times/week; vegetarian. Massive heart attack. He leaves a widow and 2 girls: one out of grad school and working in DC and the other a sophomore in college. :frowning:
Back to the salt mines in the morning. Ugh.

Oh, Bobbio - I love you.

Sorry for your friend, rigs.

Bobbio, you are a bad, bad man.

 on the fire, too, Drae.

I pulled approximately one million dandelions from the lawn and the driveway. Also a bunch of thistles and some other weeds that were blooming.

Then I walked to the grocery store to get the rest of my food for the week. Still need to get onions, it turns out, though.

Now I have my candle lit and I’m knitting for a bit and winding down for the weekend.

Don’t know if I’ll be back before tomorrow…

GT

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ here. 'Tis Monday, sigh.

It’s warm out. Feels stormy warm. Wonder what the day will bring.

Ok, that’s all I got. Time for more caffiene, brekkies and work purtification.

Later Y’all!

Up and caffeinating here too … had half a bagel as well, yum. And it’s off to work. Happy Monday to all.

Hai everybody.

Back to work today. Not sure if I got any sleep last night (or any of the past few nights, for that matter), so it may not be pleasant.

In other, better, news… I had a knitting class yesterday and I think I’ve got the hang of it at last. I need to learn to knit a little less tight, but by George, I’ve got it! I’ll have to post pix of my hat once it’s finished… it’ll be a bit uneven and wobbly, but I’ll wear it with pride.

Draelin, that is some truly awesome cross-stitch. I’m still giggling over the humping bunnies.

Morning. Thanks to all who read and commented in my other thread. I decided they should have baskets of puppies to play with as you leave the ceremony. And bubbles. Man, I didn’t go to sleep for hours, decompressing.

I like dandelions.

Apparently, I have a fan club.

Blurf, y’all. Stormy Monday.

Good morning. Frickin’ Monday. Fie on you, Monday! Fie!

You can have mine.

rigs, I’m sorry about your friend.

Drae, there aren’t enough :eek!: in the world.

We have sort of important news. To us, at least. Nat’s going to have a sibling to fight with come December.

LiLi!!!

Yay for Nat-sib! Congrats!

Woo hoo, congrats to LiLi, Mr.Lissar and to Nat - sibling!

Congrats, LiLi!! (And I’m totally ashamed to admit that I apparently missed Baby #1 while I was gone, so congrats on that, too!)

Mahna, the humping bunnies took me forever to plot correctly. However, the clowns brandishing battle axes for another piece went much quicker.

I’m cheating from work. I shouldn’t be here. But I hate Monday and this is my reward. Or something.
