A time-traveling, hijacked MMP

Cool pix, FCM!

I’m waiting another day to decide whether to request a new 'puter. I wasn’t the only one having problems accessing network folders today so it must have been some other problem and not the age of my computer. So I should have a reprieve from the headaches of reloading everything. Whew!

Off to go for a nice bike ride before din din. Bye!

Home at a reasonable hour. Yay!

Wow…complete strangers popping in today. ::Waves at Haze and SO:: Next thing you know, MBG will be stopping by.

Glad the BP thing was minor, Rebo. I can take one of the little red pills a day for several days in a row, but after that I start having trouble sleeping. I’ve also been using saline lately along with various OTC antihistamines. Allergies are no fun.

If you do get a new computer, taxi, make sure that any special software gets loaded on it (assuming that you don’t get to load stuff yourself). I have all kinds of extras on mine and inevitably have to call them back to add stuff back in. They used to keep track of what everyone had, but seem to have stopped doing that.

Cool pics, FCM.

Sounds like an eventful evening, Bobbio.

Guess I should decide what to do tonight…

GT

Good point!

It completely clouded up in the last 15 minutes. No biking. :frowning:

Shepherd’s pie was yum. From what I could tell from various recipes, it’s one of those dishes that everyone has a variation of. When I perfect my version, I’ll submit it to the recipe blog.

My FIL had back surgery today - I don’t recall the specific terms, but it was an outpatient procedure, tho they’re keeping him overnight because he’s 79. However, he came thru it like a champ, so yay!

I probably should have mentioned - my reef sculpture is about 20" tall - the biggest thing I’ve done so far. I like some elements of it, like the sponges and most of the eel, but overall, it’s meh. Still, I learned a lot from making it. And I got an “A”, so there’s that.

thanks a heap - now I’ll never get any sleep

If you want a laugh, go to my LJ and follow the link I posted there. TEH STOOPIT!! IT BURNZZZ!!!

I saw that. The days she doesn’t have Bitch Flakes for breakfast she’s usually pretty sharp.

Nice reef FCM!

Love the reef, Moooooooom. Especially the eel. Anything with eels is super-awesome.

gotti, my bank uses a similar verification process… only they like to make it interesting, because they ask something like “What are the first and third letters of your challenge response?” or, if I get a particularly sadistic rep, “What is the middle letter of your challenge response?”. I have to write the word down to figure it out most of the time, which seems to defeat the purpose somewhat.*

In other news, Morgan is fascinated by my knitting needles. Strangely enough, she’s not interested in the yarn at all, but the little caps on the ends of the needles are utterly mesmerizing as far as she’s concerned. :dubious: Cat must be brain damaged or something.

Bedtime. Sleep tight, folks!

3 and a half hours later and I still can’t get past level 23!
bleh - I give up for tonight

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffienatin’ and sneezin’ here. Dang allergies!

We had a gen-yoo-wine Haze sighting!

Rebo glad the bp thing was nothing super major.

I am not clicking on that game. Nope!

That’s all I got.

Later Y’all!

Happy St George’s Day!

Up. Good morning! Starving.

Morning. Off to work, hockey tonight, Woo!

Hi Haze!!

Happy St. George’s Day, Boofae.

slays a dragon

Sometimes, the dragon wins :stuck_out_tongue:

“Meddle not in the affairs of dragons, for ye are crunchy and taste great with ketchup.”

Blurf, with a side helping of grrruuuuuummmmmble.

The VunderLair smells like shit. For real.

The farmer that owns the field surrounding my place spread several tons of semi-composted hog manure on the field yesterday. Usually it’s not too big of a deal. The smell lasts about 3 days if it doesn’t rain, and I’m happy to put up with it because as long as the field produces, he won’t sell the land for development.

The grumble comes from my two [del]morons[/del]dogs. Freya got out yesterday right after the spreader finished, and treated VWife to an hour long session of her favorite game, ‘Fuck You!’ As in, “You want me to come in the house, Mom? Fuck you!” Freya ran and ran in that field, and ate as many pig plops as she could before finally consenting to being caught.

When I got home from work, she was one sick dog. Her stomach was upset, she had a rash on her belly, she couldn’t walk very well because her back legs wouldn’t work right (probably related to the gastric discomfort), and she had no energy/enthusiasm. We made her a nest in Manland, and she stayed there the entire night.

While we were dealing with the early stages of this with Freya, Loki wanted out, and he was gone for about 10 minutes. Soon after coming in, he was showing the same but milder symptoms.

This morning, I had a hard time getting Freya to get up and do anything. She was getting better, and was playing the spoiled brat card. Loki was better, too, but had not improved as much because he had a later start on the turd munching.

You want grumble? I’ll give ya the grumble. The next time my entire team is absent from the office I am going to quit! I am not paid enough to let them drop every ball in my lap at the same time the department head is having a prima donna hissy fit. Life is too damn short. I can pass out buggies at Tar-Jay with the best of them. :stuck_out_tongue:

bobbio, the joys of living at Green Acres, no? I recall driving through Iowa as a kid. Eau de swine is the state fragrance I believe.

rebo, glad to know that BP is back to normal.

boofae, what kind of celebration will there be?

fcm, I adore the reef sculpture. The eel is so kee-UTE!

Back to the insanity that is my life.

Tupug

Ewww - gross! Poor things. Why are dogs so stoopit?

I like your coral reef, Mooom. Yay for an A!

I have to give a presentation today. Blech. I hate giving presentations.

In this country? Precious little because we’re too scared of offending the ethnic minorities. We’re not allowed to be proud to be English any more.

Work, however, is very different. Our office is decorated with flags today and we’re having an office break this afternoon for tea and home-made scones. I am wearing my St George flag badge, and the conductor on the train this morning was wearing a very fetching red rose. Looked very good with the tattoos!
