A tired and uninspired MMP...

Are we all asleep? I can’t believe no posts in over two hours. The horror!

I took two packages of chicken boobs out of the freezer. I also peeled a bunch of N.O.T, carrots, onion, parsnips, turnips (well, two), and chopped up a bunch of celery, and smashed up and diced some garlic cloves. The veggies will find their way into beast stew and chicken noodle soup tomorrow.

Yeah, I have chosen to be a slug by makin’ a bunch of stew and soup. Still, for the most part, it’s just all hangin’ out and slow cookin’. 'Cept I have to boil the boobs, let 'em cool and dice 'em up to make the soup.

Aw heck, it’ll be nice to have some good homemade beast stew and chicken soup, especially since it’s gettin’ to be Fallish like weather. Well, for here that means temps in the 80s, but it’s still Fall weather. Especially when the low’s get into the upper 50s.

It keeps actin’ like it might rain.

Oh, and beerverages, good!

Who’s startin’ us off tomorrow?

I am watching Mudd’s Women (ST:TOS) and then bed. It started to pour here–thank goodness.

I made chicken and rice casserole (not Death Chicken) tonight. I just threw some stuff together and it worked. Yay.
Happy Monday, all.

I worked the Carnival. Mainly I just wandered around, but I did crew a sort of tug o football thing. I thought was gonna pass out for a minute. Next time, bring water. Laundry is going, I’m gonna do my fantasy hockey draft, call the 'rents and crash. I need a day off to recover from my day off.

swampy, sounds tasty.

rigs the good thing about casseroles is they’re often better when stuff is just thrown together. I have a bazillion recipes for different casseroles and I don’t think I’ve ever made one the same way twice. Casseroles are forgivin’ that way. If you don’t have one certain type ingredient, they don’t seem to mind a substitution. One in particular comes to mind. It’s a poke chop one. I throw in poke chops, N.O.T., canned 'maters, onion and cream of sump’n soup, whatever I have on hand or grab first. Always turns out nummy. Chicken 'n rice does the same thing. It just doesn’t seem to care what you do to it.

Death Chicken… haven’t made that in a while. It mayhaps will appear on the menu at Chez swampy in the near future.

I’m often told I am tasty.

Looks like I’ll be making Death Chicken this week for it’s intended purpose. The father of one of the squad members died today after a rough 2 weeks following surgery. The old guy was one of the founding members of the rescue squad, so there’s an obligation to go to that one.

I’ve met and talked to the old guy a couple of times. He was rather cool, and had all kinds of war stories from his time on the squad. I’m sad for Deb the EMT, but I’m not in mourning, so no hugs for me this time around. Well, maybe you can iff’n ya wanna pinch my butt or something.

Sordid rescue tale coming tomorrow. I have to go to work so I can rest.

:: pinches Bobbio’s butt. Still sorry about the death. {{{Deb}}}

I’m tahred. I kicked ass today!

I made banana nut bread, boiled a chicken and picked the meat, made a Decadent Chocolate Cheesecake, made shrimp stir-fry and fried rice. We’re eatin’ good in the neighborhood!

I got some good lookin’ new recipes to try this week, too. Chicken and Vegetable Pies (made with puff pastry) and some Spicy Chicken Enchiladas. Yum.

Tomorrow sucks. Mondays suck.

Blurf.

ok - now I am blurf
I ate too much junk food at gaming this afternoon. I wasn’t going to - I was even going to bring my protein shakes with me - but nooooooooooo! I had to listen to the inner voice that said “p’shaw. You can handle it” I am very blurfy and may have trouble sleeping.

Um, I wrote the new MMP. Hope nobody minds…
