I saw this movie when I was little, probably mid-to-late 70s/early 80s.
The plot (as far as I remember): A toucan (or some exotic bird) comes to a big American city, carrying a virus. The virus makes all the hippies become preppies. One lady hippie is immune to the virus, but she acts like a preppie anyway to conform or maybe because she’s really a preppie way down deep or something.
Then the government figures out that this toucan is causing the virus and they come up with a cure, and turn all the preppies back into hippies (I guess this must have been before the Reagan administration).
Anyway, does this sound familiar to anybody? Or have I just remembered some warped dream from my child hood as a movie? Thanks for your help.
