A typical SDMB bitch is...

Someone made a remark in another forum concerning “a typical SDMB bitch” and I got to wondering exactly what that entailed. Looking at the person to whom the remark was addressed, I would guess that a “typical SDMB bitch” is intelligent, articulate, strong-minded, never throws insults without a darn good reason, and never wastes anybody’s time.

Did I miss anything? Any other qualifications for “typical SDMB bitch”?

“Typical SDMC bitch?” In that context I’d think it would be something for me to aspire to. DDG, I don’t get it either.

Someone who makes damn good suggestions, only to have them twisted into an insult. I think maybe I qualify.

I am not sure, but I can tell you there is nothing cooler than a Doper who is both a typical SDMB BITCH and a JERK. Man, whoever he was talking about there must be some kind of stud or something. I bet an SDMB BITCH-JERK (JERKY BITCH?) gets all the girls!! I bet to be a BITCH-JERK you have to be suave, inteligent, genius, handsome, etc, etc…
Jally sure can spot 'em!!

Also someone that doesn’t appreciate their name being thrown around in a thread without the proper knowledge of the person’s personality or posting technique. If you use someone’s name in a thread, you should most certainly expect that person to come back with their own opinion. Usually that makes you a bitch.

Having been called one of the “fantastic four” that apparently, to a lame poster (let’s just call him PRISM02) runs the board, I guess I qualify as a typical SDMB bitch.

But that’s just his twisted view because I won’t let him get away with any shit.

Am I a bitch? Yes. I am.

Am I one of the “fantastic four”? Dunno. Depends on your opinion and what that really means. Sure, I think I’m fantastic but I’m not running the board with three other people. I just call them as I see them and a lot of people back me up. Maybe that, to him, looks like I have a hand in “running” the board. I don’t. If I go too far I get shot down just like everyone else.

Do I give a flaming rat’s ass what he thinks? No. I don’t.

So, as far as calling anyone a bitch, you should do so directly and not obliquely.

Just my 2 cents.

I would think that a “typical SDMB bitch” is very similar to a “Hag of the Straight Dope.”

P.S. Hey DDG–too bad you were still a man when the Hags were having their heyday.

I AM the typical Bitch/Jerk! Yay!

Thank you DDG. And looking at this criteria, I would have to say the vast majority of the posters fall under the Bitch-Jerk category. Come on you bitches and you jerks, let’s UNITE.

Yes, Pepper will from henceforth be the benchmark against which all potential SDMB bitches will have to be measured.

P.S. Bean, yeah, but I’m not much of a joiner anyway, so…

And did Concrete leave or name-change or what?

Um, Bear? I think they have a name for a guy who’s a “bitch” and I don’t think it’s exactly a studly compliment…

ME, ME, ME!!!

A woman who behaves like a man is a bitch.
A woman who behaves like a man sexually is a slut.

Actually, anyone who uses the term is saying
something extremely negative about themselves.

I tried bitch jerky once, but it was too salty. I hear it’s habit-forming for some people, though.

I’m going to not only join pepperlandgirl, but I’m going to be her personal “Enforcer” in the club.

(Stands behind and to the side of PLG, wearing a black Armani dress, reflective sunglasses, Beretta 92F in a chamois shoulder holster, and a mocking sneer.)

Let’s make some distinctions here, m’kay? A jerk of any gender and/or persuasion is just a jerk. Idiocy knows no boundaries.

“Bitch” puts a sexual spin on it, which is interesting right there. I have little patience or respect for folks who turn themselves into parodies of sexual roles, male or female.

But “bitch”? Interesting that there isn’t a neatly corresponding term for men. No heavy freight, just an observation.

If being a bitch is forthrightly stating beliefs and living them; honestly and humanely following that path and refusing to be ashamed doing it means being a bitch–if one happens to be female at the time–then “bitch” becomes an honorable label.

Sure, some may play vicious crypto-pussycat games and seek shelter under the term. But using the most awful, degrading terms applied to human characteristics ensures that the label will be adopted with pride.

Bitch=vocal, fallible, funky, high-minded and human? Yeah, I’ll accept it.

Got a problem with that, little boy??
