Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ on what looks to be a beeyoootiful day!
Coyote you left out “In A Gadda Da Vida”. We’ll be on or walkers and in our wheelchairs rockin’ out!
BBBobbio ain’t no reasonin’ with a hoarder.
I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. I am not in a mood to cook, so brekkie shall be cereal, milk and toast methinks. I also must purtify for deheathenization. I get to ush today.
Wile E - c’mon, haven’t you ever heard the elevator versions of rock songs? I remember hearing a “beautiful music” version of Devo’s Whip It… Altho I don’t know how you do an easy listening arrangement of hip hop…
**BBBobbio **- from personal experience, it seems the yard sale never happens… We just donate.
I had a terrible night, so we’re off for a late breakfast. It’s not windy at all, so there’s that. Happy Sunday!
Good morning all. I’m feeling some better, thankfully. A piece, at least.
I watched my shows on Animal Planet last night - Pit Boss and a program called Must Love Cats. Oh that cat program! They had all sorts and kinds of cats on there, including a segment on this cat in the SF bay area who is apparently a kleptomaniac! He’s “stolen” items from neighbors through the years, although no-one’s actually caught him red-handed. Except this time, the guy set up a motion sensor camera, and lo and behold, here comes kitty (at night, of course) with all manner of goodies!! His owner wasn’t so much freaked out but laughing because she couldn’t believe what some of the objects were! One was a bra! Some others were shoes and other objects much larger and heavier than the kitteh. At any rate, if you get a chance to see this show, please do. They also had the cat yodelers (if anyone knows what I mean here … LOL) in there.
Back from brekkies and mr ems is currently at Home Depot buying a hinge so the last hallyway cupboard door can go up and I can have my dining room back from the ‘never ending kitchen cabinet re-hab from hell’. All we need is new counter top and we are sorted. Then we start on the little bathroom which should be easier as we have someone who can do the tiling for us. Then I want new dining table and new sofa but they can wait a while. Perhaps after we move this summer.
Yesterday we vacuumed, mopped floors and I cleaned the kitchen then made tortilla soup, did an ass load of laundry, got a pedicure and got my hair cut. Date night was a mess as we couldn’t get in anywhere to go eat supper but at least we saw a movie. Today will be a run to the grocery as I didn’t make it yesterday and clean our bathroom. Hopefully I can get a couple of the kitchen cabinets relined as well this afternoon. Supper is steaks. Easy. Yum.
Howdy Y’all! All deheathenated and lunched! I was just outside watchin’ a woodpecker. Purty lil’ ol’ critter, all red, white and blue. He’s (She’s?) peckin’ away on a neighbor’s pine tree. I heard the sound and went lookin’. Sometimes I get one peckin’ away on the fence.
Herbs when I was a cub we had a dog that would steal newspapers and doormats in my grandmother’s neighborhood. She lived nearby and we’d walk over to her house and Pooky (don’t blame me, my next to oldest brother named him!) would ‘natch folllow. Grandma did not take the evenin’ paper and it apparently offended Pooky that Grandma’s neighbors got papers and she didn’t so, if we didn’t watch him he’d go house to house and steal papers. Grandma had a doormat so the doormat fetish was never fully explained. He didn’t do either in his own 'hood, just Grandma’s ‘hood. Strange dog. He also pouted if you fussed at him for sump’n he didn’t do. Seriously. If the scolder walked up to him to pet him after doin’ that he’d turn his back on the scolder and go “humph!” He also wouldn’t touch ice cream but he’d go nuts over smashed N.O.T. and gravy.
I finally figured out why my taxes were rejected twice - I typed in the wrong zip code for one of the W2s. But it’s now done and we should have our refund in 2 weeks - just in time to give it to the marina for this year’s slip rent.
PapaJohn is making supper, except for **FCD **- he wanted clam chowder, so while daughter is picking up the pizza, she’ll run next door and get him a can of soup. I’m almost done with the vest - just some hand work left. It took a lot longer than I’d expected it would.
Overcast and ick here - it’s supposed to rain tomorrow into Tues. No spring yet.
One of the groups that makes an annual appearance at our neighborhood summer concerts is a Beatles tribute band. It cracks me up to see some of the people rockin’ out to them. The original Beatles fans are getting…experienced.
Also, we had lunch at good Chinese today. One of the non-Chinese aspects is their music. Sometimes they have good jazz. Sometimes they have…elevator music. Today, we were treated to, among other songs, some lovely elevatorated Phil Collins. No hip hop or In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida yet, though.
Had yummy hot & sour soup. We also went to the mall and then to the Mexican store and then to another store to obtain earbuds for nephew. Now I’m tired. I think it’s time for a nap.
Pizza has been ingested, vest is done except for the buttons - I’ll do them tomorrow, and I’m about to assume the knit position. Thus endeth Sunday. It’s nice to have one more day off this weekend.
The packers will be here at 0730 tomorrow. Say a prayer for me.
I’m officially dropping off the net until we get to Merrylande, because I don’t know when the plug will get pulled here. I should resurface Tuesday night or Wednesday, and I have a dollar that says There will be a Tale out of it when the smoke and boxes clear.
