A Valentine's Day Spring Is In The Air Sorta MMP

Home from the theatah - it was a high school production. I’d say it was kinda bad, but considering the kids did it all themselves - direction, choreography, staging - everything - it wasn’t horrible. Some of daughter’s students were there - they sat with us.

The sketties before hand weren’t bad - it was a benefit for the local food kitchen. Not a bad way to spend the evening, but I’m glad to be home.

Anyways, beddy-bye time…

wow- it was dead in here overnight… And I’m up thanks to Scruffy and a coughing fit. I took her out, but after we came back in, she chose to scratch at the jeans I’d left on the floor last night to make herself a comfy nap place. All the while, I lay in bed coughing, trying not to disturb my sweetie. So I gave up. He’s snoozing, and the critters and I are out of the bedroom. Stoopit dog.

So, it’s Saturday. Not sure what we’ll do today, but I expect there will be laundry at some point. And moving furniture back into the dining room - I’m pretty sure the carpet is fully dry now. I’m pretty sure I wanted to share something else, but it’s too early and my brain isn’t quite awake. Later, my pretties…

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. ‘Tis goin’ to be a nice day with a high of 78 Amurrkin! I could do some yahd stuff but probably not. I do know the day’s activities shall include a trip to Sam’s Club to lay in some supplies. Gotta make sure there’s plenty of tp after all! I’m also cookin’ a beast roast in the slow cooker for dindin with some carrots and N.O.T.. That’ll work for dindin tonight and lunch tomorrow. I believe a trip to the Chinese buffet is also in the works whilst out and about today. This is to the place that was really bad but has new owners and is now pretty good.

MOOOOOOM glad you had an enjoyable dinnah theatah experience. Even if you didn’t wear pearls. :stuck_out_tongue:

I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy demands to be fed. Look out Raisin Bran, here I come!

Pears? I blame my undertheweatherness.

Sounds like the dinner theater was for a worthy cause, so, go you!

Am still draining. Also coughing some. This is annoying.

OTOH, I’ve started my second hobo glove…

Need to tidy a bit before going to airport to get brother. His flight is supposed to get her at 10:30, I think. Need to go look it up.

It’s beautiful out. I’d love to get out there and do some garden cleanup, but…it’s not happening.

Hope everyone’s having a lovely Saturday morning.

Hugs.

GT

Ah, Saturday.

Sipping coffee, jus’ chillin’. Ahhh.

Double post.

Wow, we’re quiet this morning. Have taken long steamy shower (my sinuses are grateful) and am preparing to go to Target to get a replacement battery for my pedometer.

Then it’s off to airport to get brother and then hopefully to see the Pioneer Woman…

I reassembled my dining room and extracted a bunch of stuff from under the hutch - 8 or 9 cat toys, half a dozen pens/pencils/markers, two dog cookies, several acorns, and a handful of kibble - Ziva’s plaything of choice. I’ve showered and donned a sweatsuit for a day of comfort. And I’ve sorted and started the laundry. And I’m just finishing a bowl of Cheerios. Thus goeth my morning.

It’s brilliantly sunny and incredibly windy. I was going to hang my laundry out, but I don’t have enough clothespins to secure any garments against the gale. Oh well…

Hope you get to feeling better, gt! It sounds like you and my sweetie are dealing with the same thing… waaaaaaait a minute - where were you while I was at the theatah??? :dubious:

Let’s see, if gt and FCD met halfway between Merrylande and Ohio whilst MOOOOOM was at the dinnah theatah where would that be? Somewhere in Pennsylvania? Somewhere in West Virginia?

Now that I have OYKW all awakened and purtified we’re headed to Sam’s and lunch.

Up way to early for a Saturday. Couldn’t sleep. To many thoughts going round and round my brain this morning.

I might wander to the grocery store this morning. Haircut this afternoon. Not sure what will happen between those two things.

fcm are you trying to imply something?

I’ve been up for awhile, but have been cruising the 'net, catching up on things.

It’s clear and coold here today. There will be no window opening unless it warms up some.

I should clean today, and I might, but I’d kind of like to chill for a bit, since I have to work tomorrow.

My daughter was here yesterday when I came home. She came down in the morning, spent the day hanging with my son and hubby and then hung with me too when I got home from work. I made s’gettis and meatballs for dinner. She also scanned my 'puter for me and found and cleaned out some trojans and other malicious spyware. I never used to have this problem, but it seems to crop up more often. Anyway, it’s taken care of.

Tonight, we’re supposed to go to a friend’s house for dinner. Next weekend, we’re supposed to go out with our regular gang to one of our favorite restaurants.

We’re back from Sam’s and Chinese. There’s plenty of tp at da cave. I know y’all were worried.

There’s also a cheesecake sampler. My child brought it over to the cart whinin’ and pleadin’ for it. I gave in. Spoiled brat! Really. Y’all shoulda heard it. “Can we pleeeeeeeeease get this! Pleeeeeeeeeease! Pleeeeeeeeease! Pleeeeeeeeease! I waaaaaaaaaaant it! Pleeeeeeeeeeeease! Pleeeeeeeeease! Pleeeeeeeeease!” Can I get it Daddy! Can I pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!" I had to do it to get him to stop.

Pity me.

FCM:

Also: :stuck_out_tongue: and :dubious:

So…I went to Barnes and Noble at 12:30 and figured that would be early enough. Wrong. They started giving out cards for places in line at 9 and I was in something like the 8th group, which would have put me somewhere beyond 200th in line. I hung around until PW arrived and saw the beginning of the signing. If I had stayed, it would have been 4:00 at least before she got to me. I think she’s really fun, but there wasn’t really anything to do there and I’d already run to both Target and Staples, so I wasn’t about to just hang around. It’s not far away, so I guess I could go back after a while, but my brother and nephew should be here soon and I think I’d like to take a nap and knit some and maybe put Christmas away, finally.

On the plus side, I seem to be perking up some. Less coughing and draining and such.

Hugs all.

Yanno, when you sew, it’s a good idea to read the directions first. I missed a kinda important step in making this vest. I know how to fix it, but if I’d read the steps, I wouldn’t have created something that needed to be fixed. grrrrrrr I’ll finish it tomorrow.

Laundry is done, and it’s still blowing like crazy out there. It blew over an old windmill that we had sitting next to the house because it needed to be fixed. Now it needs to be fixed too much, so it’s off to the dump. Bummer. Dunno what we’re going to do for supper, but I don’t feel like cooking. And I don’t feel like pizza. That narrows our options a lot. I’m sure we’ll figure out something.

**FCD **and daughter went to the maul and while they were out, I got them to pick me up a wireless mouse and keyboard. I like them both muchly. I wasn’t too crazy about the keyboard that came with my computer - it was like a laptop keyboard, and prone to typos. I like my keys raised just a wee bit. So I have a nice new Rocketfish wireless setup. yay!

Scruffy is staring at me and whining - I think she wants to be fed. She sounds so pathetic - you’d think I starved her!

And of course, after spending all yesterday afternoon cleaning the dining room carpet, the Pug from Hell peed in there twice. I really don’t like that dog.

I do hope there was, at the very least, some “appreciatin’” for the cheesecake

Rosie rest assured there will be appreciation.

Dindin will be ready soon. I’m glad cause I’s hongry! Plus, there’s dessert! Even better!

Ok off to get dindin done so it can get et.

Sketties and meatballs will somehow prepare themselves shortly. I have a feeling I might have to get involved…

It’s been breezy and warm, if only partly sunny today. I took the pups to the dog park earlier, and laundry is laundering. I have the house open and it’s lovely.

The Congrats Jacy party was fun last night. She brought her rival (the girl who took second place) with her. We watched the news when they had Jacy’s interview on, and we all cheered!

Yay for cheesecake!

Dindin is et. Dessert awaits in a while. The kitchen is clean. I have a cold beerverage. Life is good!

I’ve known for years that my wife is a bush league hoarder. She is in denial that she needs to jettison crap before the movers get here, and has the quaint idea that all of her shit will fit in the new house. “I’m saving it for the yard sale…”

Yeah, the new digs are bigger than what we have now, but we had access to an attic and 2 barns for overflow. :dubious: and

Went to a social at my mom’s assisted living facility, they had a guy singing and playing guitar. I thought “Thanks for the Memories” an odd choice for an audience of Alzheimer’s patients.

He sang mostly old standards from my mom’s generation. It got me thinking about what they’ll be singing to entertain folks of my generation when we find ourselves in old folks homes. For some reason, I find it amusing that someday a bunch of old folks will be sitting around the nursing home singing along to The Rolling Stones or The Beatles.
