Ok that’s all I got. I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy demands to be fed. Of course irk purtification will have to commence at some point.

So much for my first day of sleeping in… Oh well. I’ll play around on line till it’s light out, then commence to carpet cleaning. It’s 55 mild degrees right now, on its way into the 70s - I’m glad I took today off.
Stoopit feds rejected my taxes again and for the life of me I don’t know why. I’ll check the W2s one more time, then I’ll have to resort to sending in paper. I hate that. Stoopit feds.
That’s all so far - I need caffeine.
About a month ago, I got a “reminder” email (the word is reclamación, which is like a reminder with a wagging finger - it’s the same word used when you return bad goods) from the National Institute of Statistics (INE) telling me I still hadn’t filled in my copy of the “IT in small companies” online survey. Turns out they’d sent a snailmail (uhm… sorry, I do live there but I currently work 900km away) and I still had time to do it; then I’d either forget about it or remember about it when I didn’t have the economic data at hand. I finally filled it today, yay me. It was shorter than the one I got two years ago, but it still had too many yes/no questions which were N/A to single-person companies. I imagine they do separate medium, small and mini companies when they process the data, but there really should be a way to do it while you’re filling it (I did tell them this in the “remarks” part).
A weekend at Mom’s, then four days in day-long meetings amounts to about 5 days’ worth of listening to people talk about things I already know and don’t really care to hear again (and, unlike some of my coworkers, I’m too polite to be going clickety-clack while someone else talks), plus another half day of listening to someone talk about stuff I don’t know, don’t care about and which makes my head hurt (accounting… yep, definitely not the right field for me, I have no idea why Dad ever felt the need to warn me that he didn’t think I should study that, as I was about as interested in accounting as in cutting my veins open). Now I’m back in the office waiting for Quitting Time… I can haz supermarket trip?

Did I tell y’all about that girl we were voting for America’s Next Top Model? We were on a marathon voting session to get her to the front of the casting call line here in Houston today. We did it! She is first in line today at 2:00 pm. So y’all cross your fingers that she gets picked to be on the show, ok? Jacy, on the left side of the upper right photo - “Jump the Line Winners.”
We’re having a party for her tonight at our little neighborhood bar.

I had to run to the bank in Charlotte Hall to deposit some money for my mom. So I’ve showered and dressed, and now I’m caffeinating. I’ve got my peed-upon bedspread in the washer - I need to set up the clothesline and haul the rest of the laundry downstairs.
Oh, tonight, daughter and I are going to dinner theatah! OK, so it’s spaghetti dinner fundraiser and a high school production of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, but still. **FCD **doesn’t want to go, the old poop.

Well, crap. My carpet cleaner won’t. I think the detergent dispensing hose is clogged and I know a belt has broken. It’s give me 5 good years - not bad for a free device, but frankly, it’s not worth fixing. So I’m off to buy a replacement, then to meet my sweetie for lunch. That’s a good excuse for not doing a chore, eh?
I probably should too, but I’m not quite ready to give up showing off my fabulous legs. 
elf, I wish we would get some snow here. We had snow all but like 3 days in January and then none in Feb, and the last 5 days have been above freezing so the snow we did have is quickly disappearing. The x-country ski community here, me included, is not happy. I want some snow!

We have a baby shower to go to tonight. Technically a baby shower BBQ joint male/female for someone mr ems works with. I swear the minute the ‘guess what is in the diaper’ games start I am outta there. But there will be beer so that is a plus. I need to run and get the card and gift this afternoon before we go. I looked at the registry and man they have some really expensive things on there. So they will be getting a Target gift card to buy diapers with.
Other than that this weekend will be full of chores, cleaning and a haircut for me.

Pulled out from a red light this AM and while the Harley moved along briskly, my boot heel didn’t. Guess tomorrow is Boot Shopping Day for me.
(Last time I did that I got these really cool flame boots ------- and my Sportster. The boots just didn’t go with my FLH well)
It’s sunny and 71 at the Cubefarm. It will REALLY suck for me to walk the mile to the rental car joint after irk to pick up my wheels for the trip back to Mayberry at the crack of ohmygawd tomorrow morning.
Yup, gonna hate every step of the way…
It’s beautiful outside now, but the temperature is supposed to drop a lot tomorrow.
Yeah, I don’t wear short skirts because of the tugging-down problem. Knee length at least. Best for chasing small children.

OK, new carpet cleaner has been procured and carpet is cleaned. I got the latest model of the one I already had, so there’s no learning curve. I must say, I didn’t realize how bad mine had gotten - the new one is a dream! Plus it has a special attachment designed for pet stains - I expect it will get some use…
The house is open - it’s gorgeous here! I just finished watering my outside planters - I kinda forgot about them. I also washed the peed-upon bedspread as well as a set of sheets, which are in the dryer. The spread is on the clothesline tree - it’s about dry. I’ll do the rest of the laundry tomorrow.
swampy, I don’t have pearls, alas. Plus I don’t think they go with jeans… 
**BBBobbio **- safe trip. You’re just about done with making that trek, right? Once you’re settle in, we’ll have you and the Mrs. over for dinner and pug mayhem!

I’m happy it’s Firday too because I get to have a 3-day weekend where I will hopefully finish getting rid of the creeping crud. I was supposed to spend the day with my niece tomorrow, but I’m about to call and say “probably not.”
Hopefully I’ll still be able to go see the Pioneer Woman tomorrow, though. She’s signing books at a nearby Barnes & Noble and I think it would be a hoot to see her in person.

Jeans and pears? I don’t know about that!
Go early if you actually want to get a book signed by PW. A friend and I went when she came to the Mall of America, and the line was insane. So we listened to her talk and then left. It was fun anyway, but we didn’t get our books signed that’s for sure!
I’m trying to wrap up and get out of here, but I forgot about a task that I started this morning, and didn’t finish it. Now it’s running and not showing any signs of finishing any time soon. Yippee.
Well, if one is pickin’ pears I suppose jeans would do.
