The Glee Chrismas special is on tonight. Looks like we will be seeing Sue again.

Kinda off topic but not: I love the Glee Christmas album. One of the best ones I’ve heard so far, although it is difficult hearing Santana sing God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen 'cuz she’s such a bitch on the show (yes, it’s irrational) although I do love the song. I also thought it was funny that Rachel is singing O Holy Night.
Loved Kurt and Blaine’s “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.” Loved it loved it loved it. Their voices sound great together.
I don’t usually get all nitpicky about reality with this show, but … the Grinchy Xmas destroying scene with Becky – would Sue really do that? Not destroy Christmas, but involve Becky that way? Her only known soft spot is for people with Down syndrome, and I can’t see her asking Becky to do something so clearly wrong. (Yeah, I know with all the 43 million kinds of implausibility with this show it’s weird I’d get hung up on that point, but it really bothered me.)
I thought this was the best episode in quite a while. The music was fun, there were dozens of quotable lines, and Coach Beiste … well, she rocks!
“On dry runs, Santa uses the Isuzu.”
“For their Christmas gifts they gave each other rabies.”
Loved the Island of Misfit Toys number, plus the Grinch stuff. My wife and I think Jane Lynch and the girl who plays Becky must just have an absolute blast working together … Becky was so cute as the reindog! “They’re real.”
Musical numbers better than the plot, but the plot wasn’t that bad (at least by Xmas special standards). Sue the Gringe was awesome. Yeah, she was a huge [vulgar term for female genitalia] for involving Becky in stealing from orphans, but she made up for it in the end. I loved Bieste as Santa. Is that Israeli robotic skeleton thing a real thing?
Loved loved loved! Would say the music was perfect, but I think “Last Christmas” just about tops my Christmas song hate list.
Artie walking made me tear up quite a bit, although I was already a bit moist-eyed from “Fahoo Forays”. Brittany and Santa was awesome. Loved “Baby, It’s Cold Outside”. Just such a great episode!
I agree that Sue usually has Becky doing things that are at least justifiable, in a weird twisted way. How on earth she could justify stealing from orphans, I’m not sure. Oh wait, I guess because the presents were hers to begin with. But Becky as Max was awesome!!
Loved it! Loved all the Grinch stuff with Sue and Becky, and I just lost it when Brittany showed up with the Cindy Lou Who hairdo.
Also loved the “Gift of the Magi” scene with the guys giving up their watches (Finn: “This was my dad’s watch.” Puck: “This was my uncle’s watch… it’s the first thing I ever stole.”) and the girls getting ready to cut their hair (Tina: “I’m going to look like Jackie Chan.”)
Yes. But it costs $100,000, and it’s not even for sale yet, and when it does go on sale, it will only be to hospitals and rehab centers, not individuals…so how in the Hell Beiste got one I don’t know…
I think it was totally in character for Sue. She didn’t see it as all that wrong, she saw it as something she deserved (and a way to get at those wacky glee club kids, who she has trained Becky to dislike, too). She would totally use her minion to help with that.
Holy crap was that cute!
And speaking of cute, there were two particular moments in the show where I was struck by the thought that the actress who plays Tina is really pretty: I don’t remember the first, but the second was at the end when Tina sees Artie in the walking gizmo.
After the show my Facebook status was “Stupid Glee made me cry. Stupid Britney and her stupid wish.” (Yeah, I spelled Brittany wrong. :smack: )
AMEN. I can forgive/suspend a lot of things when it comes to this show, but for some reason it really bugs me when the songs have nothing to do with the characters/storyline – like when Rachel and her mom did “Poker Face” (I can still work up quite a head of WTF about that). Rachel trying to be all “you gave my heart away”? Puh-leeze.
