Makes you wonder how anyone ever managed to get pregnant in the old days, doesn’t it?
As for the “can’t hurt but might help” mentality about the baby aspirin, I get it, but it bugs the hell out of me when they throw shit at you and hope it’ll stick. My clinic gives progesterone supplements to everyone post-IUI, but I responded so badly to them that I called the doctor to figure out what to do. He said “There’s no proven evidence they help, so if the side-effects are terrible, we don’t want you taking them.” But then he followed up with “In an ideal world, I want all my patients on the supplement. But not if they can’t handle it.” Which is it, then? If it’s not proven to help, why do they make everyone take it? If I ask him that sort of question, he shuts down like I’m being nosy and hostile. Makes me so mad.
They threw the progesterone at me too. It didn’t help and it made me bat shit crazy. I did NOT tolerate it well. With the fourth pregnancy that stuck, my early numbers were good enough that my OB didn’t recommend progesterone. What a nightmare.
Antigen, I am so sorry you are going through this.
