I’ve decided something. I’m coming back to the MMP. Yay! :fanfare: :accolades:
Well, of course I’ll be posting it on a Sunday night (well Sunday here). I can’t go much further west without ending up in the Pacific Ocean.
So, all that remains is for gt, keeper of MMP dates, to let me know which day is free. I don’t want to horn in on someone else’s date.
My damn internet went down for a bit. I was cruising here, an all of sudden, lost conectivity. I tried turning the modem on and off, etc. Nuttin’.
So, I called my provider and we finally got it squared away. Whew! Just in time for hubby’s arrival home too!
Speaking of which, here he is! Talk to you later.
You can check out any time you like, but you can never leeeeeeeave~ :: crashes into guitar solo ::
Cite?
Sho and rosie: First of all, we’ve all gotta go some way, might as well be death by kugel. Second of all, raisins? YUCK.
Hooray for Captain Socks! What’s your nickname?
Nice tune, Haze.
Let me just say to all of you grocery store mavens: You haven’t lived until you spend $1000 and up per week on groceries. I LOATHE Sam’s Club.
And so, it has been declared that we will be waiting until 9p.m. to head out for making merry. rigs, my new HP5 disc has arrived in the mail. I think that in the next three hours I will have time to watch it and begin the transformation into dynamite delectable BBW. I’m making TVMan take pictures of us after my glamorous transformation so I’ll post them hopefully tomorrow.
Could someone taste my lasagna for me? I can never judge my own cooking. I think it turned out okay … although maybe I put too much cheese-egg mixture in between the noodles and meat layers. I always do that. :smack:
W00t!!!
oh, honey, the best kugel has golden raisins in it. (and, btw, we’re talking noodle, not potato)
I did housework today!!! Ok, I vacuumed a room. it IS work, and I did it in the house, so it qualifies. Soon, I’ll find something to re-heat for dinner, shower and be off to my friend’s place for festivities. Tomorrow, I’ll find some place that’s open and purchase a new snowblower. A New Toy. It’s a guy thing.
Too much cheese? It just isn’t possible.
Honestly rosie, I’ve never eaten potato kugel. But I just can’t get behind adding wrinkled up nasty fruit to such a heavenly concoction. Have you ever heard/seen this ode to kugel? The whole album that it’s from cracks me up everytime I hear it.
That’s a riot. I’m going to have to look for them on CD Universe or someplace
Here’s a link to the NPR story about The LeeVees. That’s where I first heard about them.
Believe it or not, my kitteh isn’t much interested in my plants. She’ll occasionally snack on a spider plant baby if it’s convenient, but mostly, she ignores them.
We have retrieved our other car. I was optimistic about the $500 guess - it was over $700! The van was $340, the rest was on FCD’s toy. Then again, the Crossfire takes NINE quarts of oil, and synthetic at that, so it was $90 just for the oil. And this was a pretty thorough going-over since it’s a new (to us) car. And in another month or so, my Scion will need an oil change. It’s always something, ain’t it?
Welcome back, Sock-child!
I just remembered I had jeans in the dryer - they’re now in the closet. I’m done for the day. Unless I decide to toss some dishes in the dishwasher. We’ll see.
Just 5.5 hours of the old year left hereabouts.
Just updated my month end report now that revenue has closed and I believe I am outta here.
I am headed for the grocery store - Envy me!
Trip to Borders was non-eventful, so I guess all the crazies are still at the grocery store.
<glares at Canada> Don’t DO that, LiLi!
I am off to the video store which assure me they have the entire second season of House! (don’t have the first, but that’s ok). So, my evening plans are set.
Happy New Year to all.
Hey y’all, have a New Year’s Eve giggle!
BioRosie or anybody else for that matter, if’n you want an edjookashun, google bear codes.
gotti is there sump’n a bear won’t eat???
JoeDawg, his daddy and daddy’s friend are spendin’ the night. This got decided a couple hours ago. They should be here shortly. We’ll patake of adult beverages (beerverages) and snack cause daddy and friend are bringin’ snackies. Poor JoeDawg will have to ring in the new year under the strict eye of his nanny. He’ll have to endure a rigorous schedule of couch time, snacks, cuddles and skritches. It’s all for the best though. That way he’ll start the new year unspoiled. Discipline is the key after all!
Ok, off to await the arrival of guests. I’ll check back in.
Later Y’all!
I went out and got a bunch of boxes and bubble wrap for all the breakable [del]crap[/del] stuff in the kitchen. I sure have a lot of kitchen stuff for just one person. Soon, it will be gone. I also set up an appointment to drop off household hazardous waste (I’ve had a case of oil additives sitting in the living room for, oh, 5 years or so. :o ) for the 12th, the soonest appointment they had available.
This weekend was rather awful, but I’m feeling better today, and still on course for “graduation” on Friday. I may go back to work on a reduced schedule for a couple of days next week, rather than attempting full time all at once.
I’m glad 2007 is nearly over. It wasn’t exactly a bad year, but the end certainly isn’t any fun. I suppose that means that 2008 can only be better!
Wait a sec - doesn’t he live right next door? How drunk are youse guys planning to get?? Or is this some kind of weird Jawja NYE pajama party tradition?? :dubious:
I dunno about you, bear…
Interesting statistics, FCM! One of these days, I’ll have to get up the courage to attempt an OP, I guess. One thing is for sure, mine would probably be posted around midnight eastern time–I usually don’t have the time in the morning to do most anything except get ready for work.
Gah, I rarely can remember all I want to say once I start making a post, and often forget those I wanted to make comments to! Welcome to the newbies, though, and {{{{{HUGS}}}}} for those who would like them.
We’ve got country style bbq ribs in the crock pot; we’ll have them with collards, black eyed peas and rice and probably some cornbread muffins. I just took a two-layer cake out of the oven, and will frost it later on. I’ve got champagne and sparkling cider chilling, and yesterday got a carton of peach-orange-mango juice for my version of the mimosa. laughs New Year’s Eve is the one time a year that I drink, and I usually have about two of them! I don’t put much champagne in them, it’s mostly juice.
We got off of work 59 minutes early today, so that was good. It wasn’t very busy at work today either. I swear, though, nearly every day I want more and more to retire! Not that I would be living the life of Riley, though; I’d likely have to get a part-time job to make ends meet!! I think I could handle that, though, and even have some job ideas in mind. laughs Something entirely different from what I do now too, btw.
Ok, off to help out with the dinner fixings.
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008!!!
I bid thee farewell, darlings. I’m all prettied up and ready to go have a nice, civilized dinner before giving myself over to debauchery. :: blows kisses :: Have a wonderful New Year’s Eve, everyone!
I am SO hungry! And we’re not leaving for another hour.
ok - I’m off. See y’all next year!
Happy New Year 2008!!!
