Absurd and insulting Internet ads

Betchya can’t eat [del]just[/del] one!

Well, not if the solution involves Russian women.

If only our plate technology could keep up!
I hate the click bait historical photos and ‘what they look like now’ links. I have clicked, and the photos the promised are not contained therein.

“She didn’t know why the men were applauding”

Come on. It’s 2018. I can see naked women on legit porn sites all day every day. And I’m going to click on some ad because I’m hoping to see a wardrobe malfunction?

There is a “plate gap”.

Someone makes a bigger plate, then the other guy makes a bigger pancake, and next thing you know, global pancake apocalypse. And neutral Belgium and their waffle-tech will be the only winners.

I live near a major prison. I occasionally see ads that say things like, “Hot singles are waiting to meet you in San Quentin!”

I’m sure they are, but I think I’ll pass, thanks.

I went to confront some of these insulting ad firms…

AND YOU WOULD NOT BELIEIVE WHAT HAPPENED NEXT!!

I’ll say one thing for those absurd and insulting Internet ads: they inspired this thread, which despite its short length, has already given me four or five quite good out-loud laughs.

I’m still waiting for that one weird tip.

It’s also amusing when you actually recognize the picture. I’ve been seeing one lately that I think is purporting to be a free-energy machine that’s actually just a desktop computer with a couple of WiFi antennas.

That particular clickbait is often illustrated by three people standing around, looking like locals, in a “local” environment. We have nobody that looks like that around here, no such environment, and if you click on it, no such company. If you access the same ad thru a server a thousand miles away, it’s the same picture, and you can find it in the stock photo services. It’s as crooked as can be.

(Do This Every Day)

I used to when I was younger. :frowning:

Ah, to be young and coming into our own…frequently.

And here was the one I’d call “good and out-loud”:

I’d show you, but the last I did I got busted for indecent exposure.

Ok, that’s what I’d expect, but . . . what exactly is this “brilliant” company doing? And why do they think I care?

Some of the worst ones to me are sexy clickbait thumbnails for legit sites. For example, there was one for the Weather Channel that was one of those “You’ll never believe what happens next” which was basically just a picture of young girl’s ass.
