The one I’ve been looking at has Gladstone at 64% probability and Stone at 45% (they are implied odds). There have been upsets tonight when the leader was at less than 75%
Probably so does the Academy. Tilts the scales even more to Gladstone.
WOW! I did not expect Emma to get it. All actresses deserved it.
Eeeeeeee!!! Emma!
I loved Poor Things. The Lobster is on of my favorite screenplays. Glad Yorgos was nominated.
Well, you have your finger on the pulse of Academy politics, don’t you?
I just realized Emma Stone could walk away with two Oscars tonight (she’s a producer on Poor Things). Probably won’t, but still…
Yeah, definitely Oppenheimer.
It was such a strange movie and she nailed a very strange performance. She was essential to the movie.
I thought Lily Gladstone and all of Flower Moon was just OK.
Glad to see that Emma beat the odds! As I said earlier, I’d say that any of the three I named would have deserved it. CNN says this was one of the few races considered a toss-up.
Holy shit that Trump post Kimmel read is real.
Can you post the text. I missed the content that Kimmel read…
And Kimmel’s response was perfect.
mmm
Al Pacino’s opening of the envelope was weird; don’t they normally name all of the nominees first?
Obviously not! ![]()
Did I miss all the other nominees?
Yeah…meh. Very…meh.
I thought it was going to me a Matt Damon fake feud review
Yeah weird they didn’t list the best films
Seemed drunk.
Thanks!
The special presentations of the best picture nominee’s throughout the night take the place of the reading of the names.
It just seemed really abrupt.
