ACDSee blocked (win7 help please)

Hi,
I must have pressed the wrong key by mistake.
And now, when I try to open a picture file using ACDSee, I get a blank page. I’ve noticed that the program’s icon now has a little “windows shield logo” attached to it.
A screen grab here:

When I mark the program’s properties to run as administrator, it works. But I don’t like granting admin rights to programs.

Any ideas what went wrong, and how I may fix it?

Thanks!

I can give you some very basic advice. You’d probably be better off asking at ACD’s support forum for anything more specific.

The basic stuff is to right-click on the shortcut and make sure all Compatibility options are turned off. If that doesn’t work, try reinstalling the program. If there’s a later version you can get without having to buy a new license, you may want to look into getting that.

Thanks, already tried that.
I’ll try the forum you recommended.
