Actors You'd Like To See Work Together

There’s a great scene in the movie Heat where Robert De Niro and Al Pacino are sitting together in a coffee shop talking, and its fantastic, their two different acting styles compliment one another perfectly. Why those two haven’t done more films together, I don’t know, but I’d love to see them in another film.

Anybody else have actors they’d like to see work together that either haven’t done it, or have only done it in a few brief scenes?

(Now that I think about it, it might be interesting if Harrison Ford and Bogey could have done a movie together.)

Keith David and David Keith (both born on May 8, 1954)

Sean Penn and Edward Norton - “the best actors of their generation” chewing it up

Owen Wilson and Edward Norton - I think Owen could go there with Norton and it would be interesting

Myself (hey, I’ve acted in theatah) and Elizabeth Hurley - but only for love scenes

The Olsen Twins.

Jet Black

I’ve been telling folks that I want to see an animated movie where the main characters are voiced by James Earl Jones and Johnny Cash.

In the “way too late” category: Robert Mitchum and Grace Kelly. Slouching machismo meets iceberg sensuality – woo!

Andre Braugher and John Turturro. C’mon, Spike!

Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford and Bruce Willis. Maybe toss Kurt Russell into the mix, too.

I was home being extremely sick yesterday. I staggered to the living room and turned on the TV, where I was greeted by the vision of Eva Gabor doing the twist with Thelma Ritter. “Oh, lordy, I’m delerious,” I thought, and went back to bed.

Turned out it really WAS Eva Gabor doing the twist with Thelma Ritter, in some 1963 Paul Newman comedy. That’s just a sight you never expect to see.

Jennifer Aniston and Julia Roberts in a “Bound” type of movie…

Okay, I know I’m a Star Trek geek, but I’d like to see Patrick Stewart and Kate Mulgrew work together.

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. They are such good actors, if only we could get them together!

Swarzenegger and Stallone in a comedy buddy cop movie.

The two cops were in their repective primes decades ago, but now their respective physiques have been flabbied-up by the passage of time. They come back for one last hurrah.

Admit it, you want to see them both duke it out in a back alley.

Jeremy Piven and Seth Green.

Mike Horner and Jeanna Fine: the actors I want to see work together again and again.

Yeah right – that’s about as likely as getting Matthew Lillard and Freddie Prinze, Jr. in the same movie

John Cusack and Aidan Quinn.

Kevin Kline and Janeanne Garafalo in a romantic comedy. Two great comic actors - they’d have a field day with nearly any script they could get their hands on.

Oh, like Tango and Cash with Stallone and Russell wasn’t horror enough…

Me, I’d like to see Brent Spiner and K.D. Lang playing a brother-and-sister pair of con artists.

Actually, that would be appalling. Forget I said that.

Paul Newman and Clint Eastwood in the Joel McCrea and Randolph Scott parts in a remake of Ride The High Country.
The Baldwin brothers could play the outlaw brothers.

For some reason, I think Kevin Spacey and Richard Dreyfuss would mesh well in a film together.

Vincent D’Onofrio and Oliver Platt

Marlon Brando and John Malkovich as father and son.

Michael Caine and Gene Hackman. Both great actors have done lots of garbage for the money, how have they not acted together before. A Bridge Too Far doesn’t count.
