Adam Lambert on AMA's - this was controversial?

I’d watch. (I think he’s way cuter even if incomparably less talented.)

The news article said the network received 1,500 complaints. The video that Diosa linked to above alone has 142,000+ viewers and it’s one of many videos of the event all over the Internet, and the show had millions of viewers (14,500,000 according to one website but that seems a bit high to me), and add to this that a gay character walking into a room and saying “I’m gay” on most sitcoms would probably get at least 300 viewer complaints, so I’m thinking that GMA wanted press for “loving your chirren’s sensitive minds and eyes” as much as Lambert did.

I’m sure he feels sheepish about it, now.

Oh hell! First bisexual simusex and now he’s a lion furry with a sheep fetish? When will the madness end! (And where can I get pics of it when it does?)

Kris Allen’s album highlights exactly what’s wrong with the American Idol production process.

Kris is a very good singer. He’s a decent songwriter. He’s a multi-talented artist who can play several instruments. But his forte is as a solo act - him at the guitar or piano, doing his thing.

So what does 19 entertainment do? Pair him with professional songwriters, put together a bunch of forgettable pop fluf, then overproduce the hell out of it until it sounds like any other generic modern pop record.

Here’s a perfect example.

This is his live version of Heartless. It was fantastic. A little funky, lots of energy, etc. It’s probably the performance that won the competition for him.

So of course they had to do a studio version. And liisten to what they did to it: Heartless Studio Version. It’s not an improvement.

Didn’t Michael Jackson popularize that thrusting crotch grab almost 30 years ago? It amazes me what people suddenly get squeamish about, and I smell a little homophobia, yes.

I had to go watch Rammstein’s Mein Teil video to clear that pop drivel ear snot out of my head and get some good German homoerotik guys on leashes imagery. AFAIK, the boys in Rammstein are straight, too.

I did like the Mad World cover, he has a good voice. I prefer the original still, though.

Oh my god the Autotune! I swear one day Autotune is going to become sentient and start singing it’s own songs, and then we won’t even have to pay the artists!

Michael Jackson may have grabbed his crotch, but he most certainly never grabbed someone’s head, smashed it into his gyrating crotch, and leaned back. Not related at all.

Not that was proven in a court of law anyway.

Hey, what a man and a monkey do in the privacy of their own ranch…
