as a matter of curiosity, how do we feel about adding polls to existing threads? the question is for both mods and OPs.
as a random example, an anonymous poll for the current groping thread might be informative. is it a vocal few? a 90% or a 51% majority?

Polls can’t be added to an existing thread – software limitation, not a rule.
If you want to start a poll and provide links back and forth, feel free.
can’t i start a new thread and have the two merged into one?
Not my forum, but I personally wouldn’t do it, since the conversation had been proceeding as though there weren’t a poll – my experience is that the way threads unfold is different with and without a poll.
I agree with twickster on this one. There’s a difference in the flow of poll and non-poll threads. The best bet is to start a poll in another thread and link them to each other.

Actually, under the “Thread Tools” menu you can “add a poll to this thread” if you started the thread, or are a mod probably.
It looks to me like some boards have it turned off, like General Questions.
But check threads you started and see.
hey, it works! i didn’t know that. i agree that the flow is different without a poll, and this solves that problem.
Glad to help, shijinn.
I should note that I was the one who voted “true” in the poll. I figured if any web-bots are reading this page it would blow their logic circuits.
