Has it always been possible to add polls to a thread days after opening it?

I was just about to unsubscribe from a thread of mine in Cafe Society when I noticed, under Thread Tools, the option to add a poll. Just for the hell of it I tried it, and it worked. It was always my impression that one could only put an automated poll in a thread when first creating it. Was this a recent change, or just a glitch?

I did not know that. [/Ed McMahon]

I was thinking it was a glitch of some sort.

That’s so weird. You still get the message after posting that “If you elected to add a poll, you will now be allowed to do so.” but no, right there under thread tools, it says add a poll. The left hand of the software knows not what the right hand does.

Also, sorry for the glut of test threads.

I could have saved you the trouble, as I did a couple myself with very old threads of mine. I was able to add a poll to a 7-year-old thread of mine.

Oh no. Skald is going to turn all of his old threads into polls.

No, he isn’t.

I don’t trust anything but my own eyes.

Spoilsport.

And how would you know? :dubious:

Don’t make me call the truant officer.

No, I’d hate for you to get in trouble for wasting his time.

Like I wouldn’t first dummy up records to show that you’re “actually” 12.

Truant Officer: Honey you wouldn’t believe the day I had this 12 year old was taller and hairier than me. Mouthier too! What are they feeding these damn kids??

I resent the implication that I’m hairier than the average truant officer.

Did it include an option for stale cake?

I double-dog dare you!

Nitpick: Johnny Carson.

You are correct, sir! [/Ed McMahon]
